Ok, so I just found out that officiant #2 cannot perform my ceremony. This is frustrating me to the point of no return. Anyways, my fiance loves Las Vegas so I thought maybe we could head out there and get eloped and then have the ceremony we've been planning for our family. That way I could have anyone get up there and officiate and we wouldn't have to worry about the logistics of whether or not its legal because the marriage would already have been legal. Does that sound crazy?

It doesn't sound crazy, but is that what you really want? If it is go for it, if not you have a ton of time to find someone else to officiate the ceremony. Does it have to be a religious officiant? If not start calling judges at city hall. One of them will be running for re election when you get married. They will be happy to devote an hour to your ceremony if they can mingle with voters for a few minutes before and after. Or try the local mayor. Of course you could always just get a friend ordained over the internet like Joey did on "Friends". If you have someone who is very outgoing, not shy, and cares about you, that might be the way to go. In all seriousness if I knew someone like that, I would consider it.
