We are using birdseed. I know a lot of places don't let you use birdseed, but I am glad that our venue does allow it. I don't really like using bubbles. I would just skip it all together if that was all we could use.

We are using bubbles, I have seen pics of the exit with all the bubbles blowing around and I think it looks so "happily ever afterish"!

We're doing sparklers for everyone and bubbles for the children that are too young for sparklers.

We didn't really do a formal exit. We walked down the aisle and then went to another part of the hangar to do the Recieving line right away!

We had no formal exit at all. We had decided early on that we would not do so. In fact my husband and I along with my family were the last to leave. We stayed and cleaned up the fellowship hall afterwards. We actually enjoyed this doing it together with are families. We had some good laughs together.

We didn't have a formal exit. In fact, we were having such a good time that we were the last ones to leave lol!

We didnt have a formal exit. Our reception was at our home and we spent our wedding night there.

opps just realized you said reception....did you mean ceremony? Oh well, we just left the reception after saying thank you and good night to the remaining people.

I don't think we're going to be having a formal exit.... Most of the time when I've seen birdseed/bubbles/whatever done, it's at the exit of the ceremony, not the reception...

We were two ofthe last people to leave the reception. The only formal send off we got was from a couple of the waiters i the elevators with us telling us congratulations and helping out the door with my dress.

I have never seen a formal exit at the ceremony, only receptions.

We aren't having a formal exit from the reception. But when we exit the church, we are having either fake heart-shaped rice thrown or colored fall leaves.
Kacie_bride, that's funny, I'm the opposite. I've only seen formal ceremony exits, but no reception exits.

We are not doing a formal exit at either place because the ceremony will be at the park and we are having pics taken there afterwards and i have never seen a formal departure from the reception plus i plan on parting the night away. lol

We were the last to leave the reception, but our guests blew bubbles when we left the ceremony.

We tend to have stuff like this as the bride and groom leave the ceremony, though these days its kind of controlled by the the venue as they stipulate what can and cant be thrown and where to - traditonally its confetti. Im not sure what we can throw when we come out as its a heritage site etc tho the wedding i seen when we went out there threw rice. I like bubbles and loved Laceys bubble pic but i'll have to find out nearer the time whats permitted. xxx
