I'm doing Butterfly Kisses for father/daughter dance... hehe I heard that song SOOOO long ago and the 1st time I heard it I knew I wanted to dance with my dad to that song. :)
When I first read about your wish to have a song for your daughter who passed away, my first thought was "I Hope You Dance" by LeeAnn Womack, because I've always thought of that song as a hopeful song, but I'm not sure that the wording is really right now that I'm thinking about it more. I did some searching and I found this song called "Borrowed Angels" by Kristin Chenoweth. The lyrics and the song itself just struck me! Here's a link to the youtube vid of it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApDbmHGe-KQ
The lyrics:
They shine a little brighter, they feel a little more
They touch your life in ways no one has ever done before
They love a little stronger, they live to give their best
They make our lives so blest, so why do they go so soon?
The ones with souls so beautiful I heard someone say--
There must be Borrowed Angels, here in this life
They come along, into this world, and make this world bright
But they can't stay forever
Cause they're heaven sent
And sometimes, heaven needs them back again
They reach a little deeper, they see what's in your soul
And even when they leave you know, you'll never let them go
The world's a little richer, just cause they came along
Their love goes on and on, so why do they go so soon?
The ones with souls so beautiful. I heard someone say--
There must be Borrowed Angels, here in this life
They come along, into this world, and make this world bright
They can't stay forever, cause they're heaven sent
And sometimes, heaven needs them back again
How else can you explain why they're here and not here to stay?
I believe there must be, must be
Borrowed Angels, here in this life
They come along, into this world, and make this world bright
But they can't stay forever, cause there heaven sent
And sometimes heaven needs them back again.
And sometimes heaven needs them back again.

For the father daughter dance we danced to Heartland, "I loved her first"
Look at the two of you dancing that way
Lost in the moment and each others face
So much in love your alone in this place
Like there's nobody else in the world
I was enough for her not long ago
I was her number one
She told me so
And she still means the world to me
Just so you know
So be careful when you hold my girl
Time changes everything
Life must go on
And I'm not gonna stand in your way
But I loved her first and I held her first
And a place in my heart will always be hers
From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
And I prayed that she'd find you someday
But it still hard to give her away
I loved her first
How could that beautiful women with you
Be the same freckle face kid that I knew
The one that I read all those fairy tales to
And tucked into bed all those nights
And I knew the first time I saw you with her
It was only a matter of time
But I loved her first and I held her first
And a place in my heart will always be hers
From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
And I prayed that she'd find you someday
But its still hard to give her away
I loved her first
From the first breath she breathed
When she first smiled at me
I knew the love of a father runs deep
Someday you might know what I'm going through
When a miracle smiles up at you
I loved her first
We never picked out songs for the others, (we did an anniversary dance to Alan Jackson's "Remember When")

This is what we used, maybe it'll give you some ideas:
Before ceremony - I downloaded a bunch of O'Neill Brothers songs. They were instrumental pieces and I thought they were nice playing in the background. We just played them over again after the ceremony while people were being dismissed. We downloaded 15-20 minutes worth of songs to play during this time.
Wedding Party Entrance at Reception - These are My People, Rodney Atkins
Bride & Groom Entrance at Reception - Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Queen
Cake Cutting - When I'm 64, The Beatles
Father/daughter - My Little Girl, Tim McGraw
We did a mother/son dance but I can't remember what song we used. DH and I searched for a long time and his mom was disappointed with our choice...she was hoping we'd play something fun for her, instead of something mushy.
Wedding Party dance - Friends in Low Places, Garth Brooks
Bouquet Toss - Single Ladies, Beyonce
We didn't have a garter toss but if I had, I would have used some fun 80's song like Pour Some Sugar on Me or She's My Cherry Pie or something like that.
Last song - Grow Old With You, Adam Sandler from the Wedding Singer.
I can't think of anything for a memorial for your daughter's at the moment but I hope you find the perfect song to remember them with.
Good luck! Picking songs that were meaningful or fun was one of my favorite parts of planning and I'm pretty happy with what we ended up with.
