Ours was like 3-4 months before the wedding. I saw no need to do it any earlier than that. I think we finished registering at the end of March right about the time the shower invitations went out.

We were advised by my family to register for a few items before the engagement party. We will then register for remaining stuff about 4-6 months before the wedding.

My FH and I have been living together for the past 5 years and two years ago bought a co-op. At that time, we pretty much purchased or received in gifts all the house stuff we needed. Hard to register when you have what you need! Anyway, his family traditionally gives cash anyway..so that works for me!

Well we have lived together for 3 years and have all kinds of things, but I would like nicer things. He graduated from college a year and a half ago and I'm not finsihed yet, so we still have a lot of hand me down things. I also want to redecorate the kitchen etc.

We registered 4 months before the wedding. The shower is 2 months before the wedding.

We registered in the 11-7 month out range.... Mostly because my mother insisted we have a registry up by Christmas time so people could buy us things for Christmas. It was kind of a pain because we sorta had to go redo our list because stuff kept getting discontinued.

We registered about 4 months out. I didn't have any showers, so I didn't see the need to register earlier than that.

We have everything we need in our house also but we bought an older house so it needs some tlc so we also registered at lowes home improvement so that we will get things to redo the house.
