I want to break the ice at our wedding as there are lots of people who don't know each other, any advice on some games to play.
thanks

I think that's a fun idea!

A lot of couples put trivia questions about themselves on the tables. This gives people the opportunity to mix and mingle and converse - and they all have the couple in common so they're starting on common ground.

Maybe the other ladies will come up with some more creative ideas!

I have thought about this also, I was in a paper store and saw cards that have complete random questions on them. They come in like a pack of 200 they even have some that are name cards, you print the name on the outside and there are Q on the inside. They come in tons of colors so you can even match you're theme! ;)
My only concern is how do I get people to ask each other? I mean if it was me at a table of strangers, I would read it to myself, ponder the answer then sit and stare off to nowhere wondering how much longer till we eat?!? :) so any other ideas I am listening too!!

This may be totally out there, so bare with me!

What about handing out cards with questions on them about you and your new husband and has a table, everyone has to come up with a answer. Then, somebody can say what the answers were and whichever table gets the most correct, gets a prize or gets to eat first?

I also found these: http://www.torontobrides.com/wedding_games_re.php

Good luck!

I'm actually doing games. I am going to make my own program fans and on the backside will be putting games. The games will be things like crosswords that are based on where our first jobs were or where we graduated from high school, etc so people might have to talk to get answers. I am also going to put things like word scrambles, etc on the back. I think 2 games per fan but will have to see how they fit on there. The stick (tongue depressor) has a hold drilled in the bottom of it and the pencils we bought full sized pencils and FH cut them in half and drilled holes in one end. I bought some clearance ribbon at the craft store and will be using that to tie the pencil to the stick of the fan.

Here is a link to where I got the idea in case you are interested in DIY programs.
