Old wedding trends

So what old wedding trends are you glad are gone? Any old trends you see coming back or hope they will? Would you do anything like your parents did?

I am glad the big poofy, ugly BM dresses are no more ;)

When my parents got married in 1970 the bridesmaids wore a hat with a veil and the dresses had long sheer sleeves and a high neckline. DH and I didn't have a formal wedding, but if we did I am sure it would have been nothing like what either of our parents did.

I agree on the poofy, silly dresses. SO glad they are gone.

Really, I'm all for the traditional stuff. Don't know what I would really HATE to see come back. Just some of the fashions I guess.

Def. the poofy BM dresses but at the same time the old school BM dresses w/the hats kinda like what you were describing... my mom had those in her wedding and *bleck*

Yep - another vote for the poofy funky dress ensembles! Glad they're byebye and I can't see them coming back.
