I swear my feet have gotten more and more rough and dry as I have gotten older. I put lotion on them just about everyday, but they are still rough and dry.
Sometimes I will even get cracks in my heels; got one now that hurts.
I used to get pedicures a lot, but even with that they would still be rough and that is one of the reasons I stopped going.
Can anyone recommend anything good to make for happy feet?

I soooooooooooooooo hear you on this one. I soak my feet for a while when they get like that and then use a pumice thing. The dead skin comes off so much easier, and with the soaking you're forced to sit still for a little bit which is always nice. :yesnod:

What do you soak in? Does that really help keep them from being dry and cracked?
I mean, I use that Ped Egg thing that is supposed to help scrap off some of the rough stuff, but I still get cracks.

I just use warm water...it just makes it easier for me to get the rough stuff off with the pumice. Then I use an aveeno lotion on them that seems to help. I haven't tried the Ped Egg but I've been fascinated by the infomercials - do you like it? Does it feel weird? :bbconfused:

I use this stuff and it really works for me. Its $24 but you can get coupons allll the time for their stuff. What's great is that it works all over your body.

No, the Ped Egg doesn't feel weird; you use it dry tough. I guess I like it ok; it was a gift.

This is gonna sound weird, but I swear by this skin cream called Udderly Smooth. Yes, it was originally meant for cows, but is now sold for people.:laugh2: It is amazing! And a tub of it is $6.

I wait tables so I know what it's like to have abused feet. This stuff is the best I've found.

I have used that Bag Balm before that was originally for cows; maybe I will try to find this too.
Last night I soaked my feet in epsom salt and warm water and it seemed to help some; didn't do much for my heel fissure though.

I remember having Bag Balm in the house when we were kids, haha! We always thought it was so weird. :lafhard: Bag Balm and Udderly Smooth aren't the same at all though. BB is greasy like Vaseline and US is like a light and fluffy cream that absorbs quickly. It's not oily at all.

I looked up the site you posted about the US stuff ... I think I have seen it at my local Publix, so I may have to get some :)

I also like soaking my feet in hot water - sometimes with a little moisturizing gel thrown in for good measure. I also like to scrub with a pumice stone. After you soak them, put on a good lotion and then wear socks overnight. I've used Burt's Bees foot balm, and it helped okay.
I also have a Ped Egg. It works fine for getting off a small layer of callous, but once your heels crack, there's really not much you can do but put on gobs of lotion and wait for them to heal!

Yeah I guess that is all I can do ... it is not as sore today, so I hope that is a sign it is getting better.
I will soak my feet again tonight and put lotion/socks on; I just really hate to wear socks to bed for some reason.

So the heel crack on the one foot healed ... I bought some foot scrub and use that in the shower and use lotion at night, that seems to help. But now it seems I am getting a crack on the other foot :bang_head:
