I was just wondering what type of shoes you are going with for your wedding. I was reading somewhere that when actual toes are peeking out from under the wedding dress, it shortens the bride's stature. I don't know how true that is, but what type did you go for?

I had open toed shoes and loved them. Here is a picture:

As soon as I saw them, I knew I had to get them!

I had open toed shoes.. I love them, and still get use out of them now :) They are a matt silver, I couldnt get white, because they all seemed too white for my dress (as my dress was a natural silk material)

Mine were closed toe d'Orsay styled pumps. I wasn't against open toed shoes, I just happened to like these the best.

Mine are open toed.... For some reason I really don't like the look of closed toe white shoes.

I love the look of strappy open toe shoes, as long as you have a nice pedicure ;) But I think close toe shoes are better for fall/winter weddings IMO :)

I do like your pink shoes Lacey, I just don't think I could stand the pointy toe *ouch* but honestly, I'm not big on heels anyway. Well, except when DH makes me wear them in the house  ;)

I tend to go for the closed toe shoes. I do have a nice pay of black dress shoes I wear for work and for special occasion like weddings lol. They have a small heal. But I perfer the closed toe. For my wedding I actual had white knee high go go boots.

For the wedding I ended up with open, but that is b/c I had a hard time finding anything else I really liked and they were just simple and white. They can only be seen in a handful of pics anyway.

Just about every other pair of shoes I own are closed.

The shoes were actually quite comfortable. The key is to buy a quality shoe with a good sole and upper. I wear dress shoes and heels almost everyday (especially since I refuse to wear jeans to work on Friday unless I am almost dead sick) so I am just used to standing in them. Most of the shoes I own are closed toe just because they look more professional. I do love slingbacks but those only work if it isn't snowing or raining.

Mine are closed toe but thats just 'cos it's going to be snowing and i thought they would be more practical xxx

I will be wearing closed toed shoes for wedding and reception. It doesn't really matter for the wedding, as in the temple I won't be wearing my shoes anyway. But, for the reception my dress is a deep navy blue. My feet will be covered in reddish brown henna... open toes would not look good with the blue dress! lol

I am going to buy open-toed shoes for the wedding.

But for the reception, Billy and I are changing into our cutom made Converse Chuck Taylor's. They are closed-toe. :bblol:

Mine are closed toed because my wedding is in the winter and I do not wear open toed shoes in the winter.

My feet tend to feel cramped in close toe shoes so I go for the open toed shoes!

I had closed toes because I find in strappy shoes (open) my feet tend to slip out or I just don't feel like I get the support I need. Plus I fell in love with my shoes and didn't want anything else! lol

They look yellow but I think it was the flash and the carpet doing that...they were dyed ivory to match my dress and I'm thinking of having them dyed again so I can wear them again!! :)
