We did a poll about this a couple of years ago, but thought we'd do it again.
So did you/will you change for the reception?
*poll coming*

I happily wore the same dress all day, and well into the depths of the middle of the night, including a 4 a.m. trip to Denny's. ;)

I wore mine for the whole night and changed back into jeans right before we left for the hotel so my mom could take the dress back to her house. I wanted to wear it as long as possible!

After the wedding RC and I changed into jeans and were comfortable for the rest of the evening. You have to realize that we had our reception at the all you can eat buffet at the "Sahara" and then spent the rest of the day walking all over Vegas with my new MIL and SIL. :hearts:

I plan on wearing it all day! It's my dream dress and I only get one chance to wear it!

I voted that I wore my one dress all day, but I actually did change into a "going away" outfit just before we leave. Of course I didn't really consider that to be "wedding" attire, it was a honeymoon outfit!

I wore my dress through the reception all the way til probably an hour and a half after it... We went and hung out in BIL's room and ordered pizza afterwards. I had specific reasons for not taking it off right away at the hotel ;), haha.

I wore mine allll dayyyy... LOVED IT - but was relieved to get out of it cuz it was so tight! I didn't wear it to our truck stop diner dinner... I so should have!

I plan on wearing mine all day. I love it, it's comfy, I paid a lot of money for it and it'll be the only day I can wear it without looking crazy, so I want to wear it as much as possible.
I will wear mine all day.

I put "other" because of 2 things. 1) I'm not sure if I'll wear it the whole reception but I do plan to start out wearing it for the reception. 2) we are having the reception the next day so I'll already getting into and out of it 2x's! :D
Oh and the reception is at my house, so it's a simple matter of grabbing my mom or hubby to help me change into my civil ceremony dress if I decide to! :P

I wore the same dress the entire time - I loved it too much to take it off... well, until the reception was over and I was an icky sweaty mess. I couldn't wait to jump into the shower! :lafhard:

As soon as a majority of the guests went i changed into Jeans and T-shirt.
Our Reception was at home. There was only me, DH, BIL and his Girlfriend and one of DH's Daughters left. So i ran upstairs and got changed. It was about 4.30AM by then. That way i could finish off the clearing up before going back to the Hotel.

This thread is about if you did or plan to wear a different dress for the ceremony and the reception, not what you wore after it was all over ;)

I have worn two different dresses, after wedding I have changed the dress and wore another stunning dress for reception.
Actually it was my husband’s idea to do that.

I thought about it, but ended up wearing my wedding dress all day, only changed when I was getting ready to leave.
One of my bridesmaids had the nerve to change into a pretty ugly, casual outfit, and out of her bridesmaid dress, without even consulting with me or anything. I still can't believe she was that ignorant, but oh well.
