Our E-Pics are scheduled for 2/24 at this location http://pittockmansion.org/. My photographer said that we don't have to matchy matchy, but to wear something that looks like we belong in the same picture.

My question is I have no idea what to wear!! Part of me wants to wear a dress since this place is a bit more elegant, but then I wonder if this will be too formal?? I can always wear jeans and a nice top, but then I feel too plain. Ahhh I can't decide!! I will post pics later of the dresses I have see what you guys think?

Opinions right off the bat? If I wear a dress, FH will wear probably a button up and some nice jeans.

i wore nice jeans and a nice sweater and nice black mary janes in my pics... FH wore khakis and a long sleeve white button down...

turned out just fine ;)

i say wear what is more "you" b/c looking back at these pics i think you'd wanna capture you and FH and u may not get that if your not sorta comfortable in ur skin... but thats just me :)

Very good point. I was thinking of the session as a reason to get all dolled up, but like you said, we want it to be "us" in true essence so that works for sure.

I wore pants, snow boots, a white jacket, and a blue shirt and my FH wore a nice shirt with pants and a jacket. Our colors are blue black and white so we wanted to kind of incorporate that into the pictures. You can see ours if you go to Karlhugh.com and click proofs and type in LizMartinezEng but make sure to put the capitals!!

Thank you for sharing those with me! You guys are too cute :). Loved the jeans, what brand were they?

I wore a white cardigan, jeans and ballet flats for mine, and DH wore jeans and a white polo. (We had a sandframe at our ceremony with blue and white sand which is why we wore matching outfits--if we didn't have the sandframe we would have just complemented each other.) I think whatever you're comfortable and relaxed and most normal in would be best--the location is just meant to enhance what people see in the two of you, but I don't think you need to coordinate your pictures around it. If you're not a dress girl, don't feel obligated to wear one. But if you like dresses and that's part of who you are, then that would be nice too :)

Could you maybe change halfway through the session? That way you could have some pics in a dress and some in jeans. I've seen some people do that.

Jon and I just wore jeans and black shirts.

Theres an idea! I will have to ask her if she allows 2 outfits. Some charge for the extra change for whatever reason. I have such a hard time deciding, I was almost to the point of bringing my wardrobe and having her pick it out! hahaha But im sure we'll be fine, you ladies gave some great ideas.
