Most of you know that I work at a college prep boarding school. Well our school is really good at basketball. A lot of our boys basketball team come here specifically to play basketball. Our team actually played a game on ESPN over Christmas, which was fun to watch.
Well every year we host a tournament called MAIT (Montverde Academy Invitational Tournament). Teams from all over come and play at it and scouts are often in attendance.
It is a 3 round tournament with 8 teams. We won our first two and then played in the championship tonight against the #2 ranked team in the nation. (Findlay (http://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/73NS1_IyqkWD15BqtiDCTg/findlay-prep-pilot/basketball/home.htm)- from NV) We won!! It was a really exciting game and the final score was 54-51 so it was a close game and was really exciting the whole game. We actually had court side seats because we are house parents - which was really great because it ended up being standing room only, and even with that they had to stop letting people in.
