I just made some vinyl wall art with mine! Supplies cost around $7! If I bought it from a place like Wonderful Graffiti it would have cost over $80!!

My daughter got a cricut for Christmas. Mind sharing what settings you used for cutting vinyl? I bought vinyl for making wall art, but I am not sure what setting to start it at so it doesn't cut through the back of the paper.... or did you do it so it cuts all the way through?

:)

It looks great! I'm planning on doing some vinyl cutouts for Paisey's room with my Cricut.

You want your settings all to be on 3, Speed, blade, and pressure.

Yep, what Liz said! Those settings work perfect!

As for future projects...I have a few in mind!

I'm thinking of using this quote above our kitchen cabinets:

As for butter versus margarine, I trust cows more than chemists.

And this for the entry way:

Hospitality, n. The virtue which induces us to feed and lodge certain persons who are not in need of food and lodging.

or Dorothys famous quote: "there's no place like home" since we are both from Kansas!!

My parents just bought a limo so they want a "Midnight Train" decal for the back.

And then probably this quote over our bed in out bedroom:

Sometimes, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale.

Awesome quotes!!! I want to put a quote on my living room wall - I'm not sure if the Cricut will make it wide enough but I'm going to give it a shot - it'll be in several pieces... so I'm not sure how that'll work out since I only have the basic Cricut and it only cuts up to 12"... we'll see.

I really wanna put the Footprints poem - or at least the last part of it - on my living room wall in black decal.... that'll probably be my start. Plus I wanna make some decals for our 4x4 club. Again, we have the length restrictions of the Cricut :irked: so we'll see how that works :)

The quote in the picture I posted was 3 inches tall and aprox 76 inches long. It took up three rows on my 12x24 mat.

I think the footprints poem would be awesome on a wall!!

Thanks! I wanna get an expression - or a cutter that doesn't have length restrictions... not sure yet which route to go. For now I'm stuck with my 9y/o's Cricut basic though :) :)

Oh gosh...I have no idea!! I want to say that it was Arial Narrow...but I'm not 100% sure.
