Thinking back to your wedding day, what are your top three moments that happened? Or if three is too hard, pick five. Good memories are always nice to look back on, :).

In no particular order....
1. When Eddie saw me for the first time... the photographer set it up in a way that made it seem out of a movie.
2. The big kiss... it was very in the moment, intense, emotional, etc.
3. It's a toss up between the cake cutting (we had a nice feeding and a cake-face smashing feeding, lol) and the maid of honor's speech (she made a joke about giving me advice, saying not to sleep with the mailman. Eddie is a mailman. The pictures that resulted from it are hilarious.)
There were many other good things about the day; I wouldn't change anything about it. :)

Ok, I have to have 4!
1. Spending some special time with my dad and brother. We aren't terribly affectionate most of the time so that just made it even more special.
2. Serving communion during the ceremony. We got to see every single person as they came forward and make sure we got a few seconds with all of them!
3. Going outside to take pictures with Jeff during the reception. It gave us some nice one-on-one time (and our best pictures of the day!)
4. Leaving! I was so glad when it was all over and I could finally go to the bathroom and get something to eat and drink!

Ooh, I like this thread! Here are mine, no particular order:
1) When my dad came downstairs before the wedding and saw me in my dress--he was absolutely blown away and seemed so proud of me. We've had kind of a difficult relationship for my whole life, and for a few short minutes all of that was gone.
2) When this picture was taken:

We were outside in the beautiful weather after the horrible rain the night before, all of these people we love standing there ringing bells to celebrate our marriage, strangers driving past honking their horns and cheering for us, and the two of us stepping outside together for the first time as husband and wife. It was just wonderful.
3) Having dinner with DH, getting a few minutes to just be together and chat a little without anyone near us... taking a few minutes to soak it all in together.
Also, more generally... the fact that it was my grandparents' and his grandparents' anniversary was super special to us, having people there from out of town, out of state, one from England... people who we weren't sure would be able to make it, but they did it for us. It's an amazing feeling, the love between friends, between family.

Aww, I'm loving the moments, so far! I was also happy to be able to spend time with family and friends that I don't see often, and I was happy that 5 of the grandparents were able to be there. I was really happy with the pictures we took with them (we unfortunately didn't get any with Eddie's dad's parents and us alone, but there was a whole family picture on his side). I didn't include that in the moments because it wasn't a particular moment, but I wanted to mention it. :)

Apart from the obvious "Oh my gawd, he turned up"
Mine are:
Our Grandson shouting out "Love you more Grandad and Nanny-Moo" as we were saying our vows.
At the Reception all four Daughters came over and thanked me for making their Dad smile again. That they were happy to have me as a Step-Mum.
DH's Brother welcoming me to the Family. And saying all the things that DH's Dad would have been saying. (No other Family from DH's side were there. None of my Family were invited)
A heavy Pregnant Friend driving 200 mile to be at the Wedding. Her Baby was due that day. :boggle: Knowing that 50% of the Guests had flown in especially for the Wedding.

1. When I got to the end of the isle and DH took me from my dad's arm. I was nervous but when I got to DH everything and everyone else just melted away.
2. During the ceremony when I kind of got tangled up in my dress and couldn't remember which way to turn for the easiest way to get untangled, DH grabbed my shoulders and gently turned me in the direction I needed to go. It made everyone chuckle. :) I thought it was sweet.
3. When I opened my fortune that said "You will soon own a new home" at dinner. We were wanting to put an offer on our house but we decided to wait until after the wedding so we didn't have to deal with it during our wedding weekend. After I got that fortune I just knew it would all work out!
4. When DH carried me over the threshold at about 1 in the morning. We were so beat and just walking into our little rental house that never felt like a home, but he still thought to do that.

1. Ron's vows. He wrote these elloquent vows that made grown men cry. It was also the first time I'd ever seen Ron tear up. The gist of the vows was that he didn't want to promise things he couldn't keep so the only vow he could make was that he'd love me forever. :soppy:
2. Seeing Ron step up as a partner right away. His drunk friend was offensive and insulting toward my brother and Ron kicked him out of the wedding. The situation was unfortunate but the way it was handled was admirable.
3. Going to Denny's on the Las Vegas strip at 4 a.m. in our wedding attire to eat eggs with our drunk friends.

1. Walking into the hotel where our reception was held to cocktail hour and seeing all of our friends and family there. Then, walking into the ballroom and seeing exactly what I envisioned for so many months before. My jaw just dropped, I was so excited!!!
2. Dancing and drinking the night away with all our family and friends. We had an open bar all night, and I'm sure that helped make the night even more crazy fun!
3. Feeling like a complete celebrity the whole day. We had a limo driver who treated all of us incredibly awesome and like rockstars, and just having the authority to tell people, "no, I want it this way", and them graciously agreeing!! The power was awesome! :yesnod:
4. Walking back to our hotel room, hand in hand with my HUSBAND. Such a bitter sweet moment. Sad that this amazing once in a lifetime day had come to an end, but so giddy/happy that we are finally husband and wife and we have the rest of our lives together!

Awww, what a sweet thread!!
Mine are:
1. Waiting on the screen porch with DH before the ceremony - watching our friends and family greet each other and get settled in their seats. It was so neat to see everyone that had traveled so far to be there for our day - and getting to share that with DH was even better.
2. Walking down the "aisle" with DH. I know it's not traditional, but it was so meaningful for us to come into the ceremony together.

3. Taking communion right after we said our vows - I loved when my dad (our officiant) told Patrick "hand the cup to your wife". To make it even more special we used the same cup and plate that my parents had used in their wedding ceremony.
Also - not quite as special, but still memorable:
This moment during the ceremony:

And during the reception when I went pee and dropped the end of the ribbon on my dress in the toilet.

I didn't think to add it but that was one of my fave parts of the day also. Everyone told me how beautiful I was and I felt so special! People were there to do whatever I told them to do. I am not really an attention seeker and leading up to the big day, I was initially nervous about being in the center of attention, but I loved all the attention I got!

I am the same way about not wanting to be in the center of attention, but I loooved it on the wedding day. It made me feel special and loved. :)

Oh, this is fun!!
1. Having my uncle Howard walk me down the isle. I was so happy and proud that he would do that for me. :)
2. Taking pictures!! It was a lot of fun, specially after when we were playing on the playground equipment.

1. DH getting a manicure with us at the salon... He was a Pretty Pretty Princess!
http://gallery.mac.com/kanedijkman/100169/IMG_0687/web.jpg?ver=12322297650001
2. Seeing DH sobbing during the vows... He made me and everyone else cry, too! Seriously, there wasn't a dry eye in the house.
3. All of the hugs from friends and family that ruined my hair for the pictures. I never felt so loved before!
4. DELICIOUS CAKE.
5. Walking back to the wedding hotel suite with DH, arm in arm under the stars. It was silent except for the clicking of my high heels and so peaceful...
