hi...just a quick question. How should you word the rehearsal dinner invitation? I started with " You're invited to Dennis and Jennifer's Wedding Rehearsal and Dinner". Do you think I should be putting the words "you're invited" since it is expected that everyone who gets an invitation must attend. His family doesn't really do everything the way we are doing everything so I don't want there to be any confusion. Let me know what you think it best. Thanks!

Do you have to do invitations for the rehearsal and dinner? I thought it was kind of implied when you asked the people to be in your wedding party.

You're right Kelli, they are not required, however they do add a lovely special touch and are a helpful reminder. If they are done they should be less formal than your invites

Have fun planning.

This is what we used for our RD invites, I just printed them on nice paper with matching envelopes.

Before Stacy and Jared
Can walk down the aisle
We must get together
For a quick wedding trial

The rehearsal will begin
At 5:00 on the dot
Where the bride and groom
Will soon tie the knot

Once we have practiced
We hope you will stay
We will gather for dinner
Before we part ways

Date
Location

Please RSVP by October 4th

Lacey_8_99,

This little poem is so cute. I wasn't thinking about having invitations for our RD but now that I have seen this I think that it isn't a bad idea to have a few invitations. That way too, people will know if they are invited or not.

awe, thanks. glad you girls like it. When I saw it I just had to use it...I hadn't planned on doing invites either. I figured a phone call or e-mail would suffice since our RD was really relaxed and simple.
