I really want to register for some fine china. It is a little more expesnive than traditional fine china. My Mom says its tacky for me to register for this so I wondered what is the correct etiquette?

I think you can register for whatever strikes your fancy, but whether people will buy it for you will be a different story. Most people probably won't purchase it for you, or if they do it would be one piece at a time and you may end up with a very incomplete set.

As for it being tacky, I don't think so, but if you're going to register I would recommend you setting up a couple of different registries so that there's some accessibility for your guests.

:goodluck:

P.S. Just out of curiosity, I saw that you said you had done a beach themed wedding. Sounds nice! But why didn't you register for things before your wedding?

I was registered at Canadian Tire, so I am probably the wrong person to answer this...ha ha
