I am running into this problem where I have changed the ring bearer attire to fit someone elses needs. Someone suggested to just let them wear black suit, white shirt and black tie. NO JACKET. What ya'll think about that?

I think that, because it's just a little kid, it should be fine. But what's wrong with wearing a jacket if you're going to have everything else on already?

I think that he should have a jacket at least walking down the aisle and for formal pictures. It just looks more polished - unless you are having an informal wedding. He can always take the jacket off once the reception begins.
GOOD LUCK!

I agree! He should at least wear the jacket during the ceremony and pictures.

I'm not sure what the reason is for not wanting a jacket...or not wanting a tux, but here is something to consider. Our son was our RB, he wasn't even 2 yet but to rent his tux was the same prices as all the guys ($90), I just couldn't see paying that. So, we considered a suit, but ultimately ended up buying a tux on ebay. there are tons of sellers that have childrens tuxes listed, I don't know who ours was from anymore, I just remember that they were based out of NY. Anyway, it was cheaper and easier that way...and he still matched the rest of the guys.
I do agree with everyone else...he should atleast wear a jacket for the ceremony unless it's an informal wedding.

If everyone else is wearing a tux...the ringbearer normally matches. You will be able to tell in the pictures, unless the ringbearer opts out of those.

Our ring bearer did not wear a jacket even though the men did. I don't know how the pics will look but I think it looked just fine. They are after all only children and if its a hot day, they may be cranky enough without having to wear a hot jacket!! Best of luck!

After note, we saw our pictures and it did not look weird at all in pictures. Our ringbearer looked ADORABLE. (without a jacket even though the groom's men did have jackets)
And Chris, I don't think 4 is too young, my ring bearer was almost three. Just prepare for him to not totally do what you want him to. Just go with the flow and if he gets cranky then just take him out of his respective role. Best of luck!
