My sister in-law is getting married and she is having a Very formal evening wedding. She is asking that there not be any children there. Can you tell me a nice way to put it in the invation that children are not allowed?
thank you

On the invite you usually do not write anything to that effect but,
here's few alternatives she can use:
Put on the reception card:
Adult Reception
or on the response card:
Please respond on or before (date)
M__________________
Number of Adults____
If she is using inner envelopes, write the names of the invited only (usually childrens names would also be written if they were invited. Make sure the outer envelope reflect who's invited as well, don't write The Smiths, this would imply the whole family.
word of mouth, and some couples have also included a nice note and state that wedding is for "Adults Only"
