We went on a cruise (on Carnival) to Key West, Florida (US) and Nassau, Bahamas (Caribbean) I think we paid a little over $1,000.00

We went to a great little B & B about 3 hours from our home. With lodging, food and shopping, we spent right under $1000.

We're going to Jamaica for our honeymoon to an all-inclusive resort for a week... we're thinking $6k for everything with airline tickets.
My grandparents offered us a week in their timeshare anywhere. I know a lot of people who have done that and saved a lot of money! Maybe if you had a friend or someone you couldl ask and offer them something for a week. Sometimes its a lot cheaper than getting a hotel room somewhere.

We are going to Jamaica for 4 nights at an all inclusive. I don't really remember because we have had it all paid for since May, but I want to say with airline and hotel it will run us around 3K.

I know that if you want to stay in the US, if you look around on travel sites likes travelocity.com and expedia.com you can usually find really good deals to places like Orlando and Las Vegas. Surprisingly, Las Vegas isn't an expensive vacation even you go with the higher end stuff.
I know that Sean and I always enjoy Las Vegas when we go. We had a lot of fun in Key West and Boca Raton, Florida. Plus, we go to New York City a couple times a year. I spent a few years living in Washington DC, and there are lots of non touristy related things to do there too if you research it.

If you are looking for U.S. destinations, New Orleans is a fun place. I haven't been there since Katrina, but before it was pretty fun!
San Antonio, TX is a really fun place to. It has the beautiful, historic River Walk, The Alamo, Fiesta Texas theme park, Sea World, Schilterbahn (voted the number 1 water park on the travel channel in the U.S.) in New Braunsfels is not far away! There is the Guadalupe River to go tubing on!
Glacier National Park!!!!!!
Yellowstone!!!!!

I guess it all depends on the type of people you are and what kind of honeymoon you want.. For example, FH and I are VERY outdoorsy and almost went to Minnesota to go fishing.. There are so many places you could go that would be inexpensive. I love Kacie's idea of the national parks. I would go there anytime!
