My parents are moving to Utah in about a week and a half. They have been planning it for a few months, but were waiting until they sold thier house. She emailed me today to let me know that it will be at the end of the month. My stepdad was offered a position that he couldn't pass up. They will be about an hour from my sister who moved up there in April. I don't want my mommy to leave.

It always sucks when family lives so far away! My parents live 4 hours away, my inlaws 6 and a half hours away. But soon my parents will live 12 hours away! I feel for you hun, but at least it isn't TOO long of a drive!! I hope all goes the very best with their move!! :)

I'm sorry, Heather, but just remember you are probably going to be leaving Arizona too. So maybe you'll go closer to your Mom. If not, it's always fun to go visiting other places. :D

That really sucks, Heather! I would hate to be that far from my mom. I have to talk to her every day. But, hey, she will be close to me!

Would you be so kind as to check in on Heather's Mom every now and then, Holly?

I would be happy to! Give me a reason to get out of SLC. Where is she moving, Heather?

Thanks Holly!!! She is moving to Springville, and my sister lived just outside of Ogden, but on the other side from Roy (does that make sense?).

Yeah. Your sister is about an hour north of me and your mom will be south of me about an hour. Just on the other side of Provo. I go down there ALL the time to go fishing.

Sorry to hear this Heather. It is hard. I live about 7 hours from my mom and sister and brother and niece and nephew. My kids say how much they miss their grammie all the time. My brother wants to move here but he has 3 yrs of high school left. My mom but she is on disablity from the state of Maine so not sure how she would go about moving to another state. My sister will never leave as her husband is content on staying there. I think if she had the chance she would leave.
Didnt mean to get onto me here. Sorry. It is hard being far away but I am sure you will be ok and rather you are close or not this may bring you closer in a sense.

Sorry to hear this Heather. I am sure that this is going to be very hard on you, especially at first...but it gives you a very good excuse to get out of town more often right....and see your sister!!!

Thanks. It will actually be neat having them in the same area so that on holidays, or vacations we can see both. And that way I can see my nieces and nephew. I just miss them so much. And the kids are going to miss my parent's too. Last night, Peyton came and asked when he is going to get to spend the night w gramma and papa. THey have taken the girls for a weekend, and taken Nico for the weekend. They were waiting until after the kids trip to Iowa before they took Peyton, and now w the move having to be so soon, they aren't going to be able to. I had to tell Peyton last night, but made him promis that he won't tell Nico as it will break his little heart.
