Ready to elope!!

So my FMIL is such a pain!!! Everything i want she hates and tries to change it and its so irritating. I have lived with my in-laws for the past year and i don't know how much more i can handle. I try and keep the peace and not say anything to her when she opens her mouth, but i am a very verbal person i tell you what i think so this has been a challenge. She has changed the date and tried to change the date again. She has fought with me about EVERYTHING!! I have just let it go but now she is saying **** behind my back. I showed her the song i want to walk down the isle with and she was like "we will talk about it" and walks off. I ignored it and left. So she goes and tells my FH's sister in-law that she is going to make me change it cause she hates it. She wants me to walk into the normal here comes the bride song and i refuse. She has tried to change my honeymoon, if we move out, my date, my reception, EVERYTHING. For the past year his parents have controlled everything and i can't do it anymore. She is not changing the song i walk down the isle to and she is not any under circumstance changing the date, reception, or what song we have for our first dance!!

Don't let her push you around - it is YOUR day. She already had hers and she should realize that! I hope things get better for you.

I refuse to let her pull anymore ****. She wont leave us alone about anything she refuses to let us even move out and its so annoying so finally i just said we are getting a place or im moving to my dads... well we found a place =]

I'm sorry to hear that you are having troubles with her. Congrats on the new place. I'm sure that will help out when it comes to wedding planning! I definitely would be putting my foot down. It's YOUR and your FH's day, it should be what YOU TWO want, not her. I suppose if she's helping pay for it, she could have SOME say, but if not, then she really doesn't have any, unless you give her the chance to. Good luck with the planning! :)

Yeah, Im so excited.. BUT Fh won't let us live in it before the wedding cause he wants the newly wed new house thing... so i have a month and a half left to deal. I can't wait though!!

Moving into your new house sounds great! You will probably glad he is making you wait :). I think it is sweet. It will come sooner than you think! My friend just got married and she says she wishes she wishes she would have enjoyed her bed to herself while it lasted! lol:rofl:

Wow. Does your FH know about this? That is really bad if she is planing yours and your FH's date, you should choose a date that matters to YOU both. I can't believe that she is doing that. You have the right to do whatever you want on your wedding day. I hope you get to do what you want and that she keeps her opinions to herself from now on. Maybe you should try telling her in a tactful way that it is your wedding not hers and she really has no say in it.

I have tried and it just don't work. Its really hard when we are living with her but we are signing the rental agreement wednesday and will be moving in the 15th!!! Woohoo!! I am just going to keep my plans to myself and just do them=]
