I guess it depends...I put within 6 months, but we are getting married on the 21st of July and then leaving for the HM on the 4th of August, so two weeks later.

I put right after because we literally left the next day. It was great to get the heck away from Ohio for a bit.

We left the hotel the next morning at 5:30, which kind of sucked considering the after party didn't end until 4:30. But we slept on the plane.

Our flight leaves the next morning at 7:30. We are staying right by the airport so it will not be that bad I guess. Like Lacey, I'm sure I'll sleep on the plane.

We're planning on leaving the very next day so we're definitely going immediately after. Jonathan and I want pleanty of time away from the family to do what will be our new favorite activity ;) Between our families, we wont have any time alone so its important for us!

Our wedding reception ends at midnight on the 5th (6th?), lol, and we're leaving for our honeymoon at 6am on the 6th. No need to wait! :bblol: Thank goodness for timeshares!:bbmrgreen:

We left on about a week after the wedding because we had to take care of all the final bills after the wedding ourselves and we had family from Germany and across Canada that were there that we wanted to visit with. Also it gave us a chance to pack for the honeymoon and put away some wedding gifts!

We are going within the 6 months following. We had already purchased and planned on taking a 4 day trip to talladega, al and couldn't afford to take two trips. also the month before getting married we took another 4 day trip. so we had a pre-honeymoon and will be having a post-honeymoon. haha

We are leaving right after the reception (Sat night) for a small weekend getaway, (coming back on Tue) and then leaving for the "real honeymoon" in Cocoa Beach on September 1st for 10 days! We wanted to be sure that most of the kiddies are back in school so that we can enjoy Disney World without the crowd of the munchkins!

Hopefully, we are going to Cabo for a week. We will be leaving the day two days after the wedding. Since we have alot of J's fam coming in from out of state, we are going to have a brunch w just the fam the day after the wedding, open gifts then, and relaz before we head off.

We are going to Niagara Falls/Toronto a week after the wedding.

There was no way we were going to go right after the wedding. After being married once already, I knew I'd be tired after the wedding and want to chill at least a couple days before the honeymoon.
