Well my wedding video was going to be handled by the stations production department but the department manager has "plans" and now so do his 2 creative services people...they told me that "Danny" might wanna do it, oh geesh............Danny was an intern that didn't last....
Guess someone in the family with a video camera will have to video tape the reception stuff (Our entrance as Mr & Mrs , First dance, dad/bride dance, mother/groom dance, garter toss, bouquet toss) and the stationary camera at the church will have to suffice for the ceremony...&*(&%$%#:censored: :censored: :censored:
OHHHHHHHHH I AM PISSED!:bbmad:

Well I raged at my Production Manager and the GM (my boss) heard me and told me that it was a crappy thing for him to do, since I have checked a couple of times EVERY D@MN MONTH to make sure he was still planning on it...anyway he has an email and phone number of a guy that works for the ABC station here in town that might be interested...Lord I need to leave this place before I go OFF:censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: .
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, Sorry ya'll !

Well after I got done with him yesterday he sent me this e-mail,
Okay, I don't know how to say this easy, so I just have to say it (in
email because I don't want you to kill me). I can't shoot your
wedding. I can't find anyone else to do it either. Heather can't.
Steph can't. Danny can't. There are others that I know that do
weddings all the time, but they will cost more. I can give you their
names or give them a call myself if you need.
I shot my sisters wedding this past weekend and it scared the **** out
of me. I don't do weddings enough to do them right and I thought I
would be able to do your wedding, but I am just afraid I would screw it
up. If it was a commercial I'd do it hands down. That I can do well,
but a wedding is just to important for me to take a chance on and I
don't want to disappoint you. I'm so sorry.
Let me know what you want me to do and I will help in finding someone
else if at all possible. Please don't hate me.
Gerald
Can you say copout...at anyrate I told him since he had managed to drop this bomb on me, and in order for me not to inflict bodily harm on him I needed one of the stations cameras, a tripod, a NEW tape, and instructions...the only catch is that after the wedding we will have to stop by the station and drop the camera back off...not the first place I wanted to go after my wedding but it's right by the reception hall so it works.
Thanks for reading, caring and supporting me in my crisis!

He ain't a weenie he's just wanted out and the poor pitiful, I'm scared I'll screw it up routine works well for him...he shoots commercials all the **** time for Pete's sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At any rate he isn't going to do it, there will be a stationary camera at the back of the church and one at the front and someone in the family will get the tosses and dances at the reception...I just didn't want those to look like those horrid home movies you see on "America's Funniest Videos"! Oh well knowing me I'll end up doing something that reserves me a spot on the show anyway.

I wasnt being ugly Ellen. It just sounded to me like a little kids whining to get out of something. If he wanted out, why couldnt he be a man and let you know before now? He left you in a situation, which it sounds like youve handled perfect by the way, but sounds like he thinks hes the one that should get sympathy................

Well I'm not sure what to tell you Ellen! I mean everyone has pretty well said it. He's right that a wedding isn't a commercial but come on now, it ain't that difficult either. At least he knows which buttons to press!!!! Hope someone pulls through for you, otherwise my recomendation is to tie him to your horse feet first and drag him through some cow dung!! lol Good luck!! :)

Ok the crisis may be resolved, I am getting a camera, tripod, tape and instructions from the station via Gerald and one of the sales women (who was coming to the wedding) graciously has been offering her help over and over so I went to her desk and asked her to tape it for me...come to find out she has done it several times before and knows how the camera operates...PROBLEM SOLVED...she is also coming to the reception and said she would videotape the stuff I want to capture on film and then give me the tape and drop the camera off at the station so i don't have to worry with it. WHEW...

When I would be stressing over our wedding, Brian would tell me to just throw it in "the Bucket". That was his way of saying, "its all gonna work out."
Hed catch me at the wrong time sometimes and I would want to put that d@mn bucket on his head.

If nothing else, get a tripod, set up the camera on a good angle, and appoint a groomsman to look after it for the evening to make sure no one fiddles with tehs ettings of moves it. You can have video. It will be fine.

Even if I don't I will still be married and at this point I just don't give a SH*T anymore....I have my dress, he has his tux, and we are going to be married in 5 days, if anyone gets in my way and causes me grief they will NEVER forget it!:bbconfused: :bbmrgreen:

Good luck, Ellen. It's terrible how many things go wrong at the last minute! I'm sure though that a stationary camera at the wedding will be perfect and catch just what you want to catch. And, at the reception, you can always assign a groomsman or a family member to move the camera around... Good luck, and best wishes for a beautiful wedding day!

Its weird how the timing makes what really could be a minor problem. If this would have come up 2 months or even 1 month ago, it wouldnt have seemed that bad. But things happening this close to a wedding has the potential to make an aready stressed bride snap........I know I wanted to!!!!

Nope... I refuse to get like that, Eric has endured enuff of my "snaps" so as Lacey suggested I am going to smile and tell anyone who needs it to
:censored:off (not very ladylike, but hell I've never had THAT problem LOL) with a pretty smile on my face!
I can feel it happening though (snapping) but I just take a deep breath and think "I am going to be married in 4 days....this won't stop that fact"!
You're right about the timing but now I don't have time to let it be an issue!:bbmrgreen:
