How long is/was your engagement?

We're having a long engagement. I'm interested to see how long everyone elses is and why they chose to have that length of engagement!

We're having a 22 month engagement because the combination of school, work, money, and being able to have the wedding we want. If we would have gotten married October this year, we wouldnt have been able to get any of the sites we wanted as they book more than a year in advance!

Our engagement will be 20 months and 1 day, by the time I am finally his wife. The reasons for this were the fact that I wanted to get married in September and the financial aspect. There was just no way that we could afford a wedding the first September after our engagement!!!

Eric and I are both in our 30's and both have been previously married (we say practiced) and knew instantly when we met that we were meant to be. We are mature, financially secure, focused people who want to settle down, raise children and live our lives to the fullest...once we found each other we didn't mess around wasting time LOL!

Ours will be 12 months and 7 days. When we first were thinking of dates I knew I had to take into consideration that I am still in school. The only available dates that would leave me is March (spring break) which would be way to soon from our engagment, May which was still not enough time, or August (between summer school and fall semester). I was game for August, but Justin said it would be to hot and he didn't want to get married in the summer. So the next available time would be December. I didn't really want this long of an engagement so I defiantely was not pushing it back any more! If I wasn't still a student we probably would have selected a Fall wedding. I love the fall decor the best!

Nah i ain't barefoot and pregnant YET! We dated for over a year before he asked me, hell I moved because of him...he'd BETTER marry me after that!

Good for you. J says his first one was practice too. I wasn't married, but lived w Nico's dad for over 8 years. That one was a final exam!!!
