Hi Ladies, can anyone tell me if you can buy vellum sheets for the invites alone? Or do they only sell them in invite pkgs?

I made my invites and printed them on vellum ... I just bought the big 8.5 x 11 sheets of it at Office Max (I think it was) and cut them on a paper trimmer to the sixe I wanted.

Sweet. Thank you, I will have to go there this afternoon. And they worked out? No smudging or anything?

NP ... I printed mine on a laser printer so no we didn't have a smudging problem. If using ink jet, I would just be sure to let them dry ;) Good luck :)

At Hobby Lobby and Michael's they sale packages of vellum. I have bought some because I am going to add them to my invitations.

I tried Michael's here, and they only have 12x12 sheets, and the lady couldn't tell me how many was in the pkg, but there is an office max down the road, I think I will just go there.

The package I bought you have to cut the vellum for the size of my invitations. I think they have 20 sheets per package. I bought them at Hobby Lobby and it says the information on the package. I haven't checked at Office Max.

Check www.paperandmore.com (http://www.paperandmore.com) They had the best price. Also, they allow you to order samples, which I did, to decide what weight we wanted.

When I printed with my inkjet, I had some smudging. I did some research and found that set your printer to "transparent" or the lowest ink output, there won't be smudging. Vellum doesn't absorb the ink like regular paper or cardstock.
