Fsil and her Fh will be getting married within a week of them getting the invitation to our wedding. So, my question is, do I send the invitation out to "Mr John Smith and Ms Jane Doe" or "Mr & Mrs John Smith"?

This is probably not the right ettiquette but I would address it to Mr. & Mrs. I know I love it when I get something in the mail addressed that way.

I agree with the girls...Eric and I are getting invites and such and they address them Eric and the Future Mrs. Vinson or Eric and soon to be Ellen Vinson...since it's a formal invitation I would address it Mr. & Mrs ??????? becaue at your wedding they will be! I love it and was excited just to put Eric and Ellen Vinson on our mailbox...

Probably the proper ettiquette would be to address it to Mr ____ and Ms Maiden name but ultimately I would make it your call. And since you don't like her you could send it to Mr______ and then on the inner envelope put their first names. Ultimatley your call though hun!! I'm sure someone profound in ettiquette knowledge will come along and let you know!

I have to say I got my brother's invitation to his wedding the other day and it was only addressed to me and inside she put Danny's name. Needless to say I was not impressed!! Esspecially considering we have been together for 12 years. I just found that so rude. If it wasn't my brother I wouldn't be going. :bbconfused:

I agree, I would put Mr and Mrs. It may not be 'proper' but if you know they will be married by the time they get it and they are family, then why not ... it will make them feel good :)
