Making the bed

Brandi's thread about sheets got me wondering about this. Do you make your bed in the morning??

I make the bed every morning. I feel like it makes the room look cleaner, even if my desk is a cluttered mess.
This is a new thing though - the past couple of years I've really taken to doing it, before that it got made on the day when I changed the sheets or, um, if I was, uh, having someone over. :rofl:

I voted every morning. I hate leaving the house or getting on with my day without having the bed made. I love the feeling of a crisp made bed at night. DH doesn't see what the big deal is, but to me, there is an art to making the bed more than just pulling the covers over. The sheets and comforter have to be tight and smooth and throw pillows up just right! :yesnod:

Everyday here. And not just because i used to work in a Hotel where the beds have to be just so.

It's something i've always done. Even when i was about 5 years old i remember making my bed. The Bedroom was small and the bedding everywhere made it seem smaller.

Plus Mum always told me. "Anything found on the floor gets thrown away". And "Put it away or throw it away"

Since then i've been a bit OCD when it comes to beds and housework in general. :blink:

I was going to vote never, but that's not true. About once a month our bed is made :blink: Matt is in and out of bed 20 times during the day whether it's a work day or not. Plus, we don't even have a bed - just a mattress on the floor... and our room is not furnished yet so our laundry is everywhere. Yeah, I live in a sty...and I hate it. But I know it's only a matter of time before I can have a real bedroom :)

I make it everyday. I don't like the sheets exposed, I think they will get dirty or our cats will get fur on them. I also like that it looks put together.

Me; I rarely ever make the bed unless someone is coming over that might venture into my bedroom ... or when I was the sheets ;)

However, DH makes the bed just about everyday. If I catch him making the bed I will help, but I rarely think to do it on my own.

The only time I ever make the bed in the morning is if I get up after FH, and that's either on the weekends or very rare during the week days. On the rare occasions I do make it I only do it because it makes the room look neater. Otherwise, I don't worry about it.
