If you live in the Chicagoland area, do not use Adventure Charters out of Waukegan for transportation on your wedding day. I got married back in October 2003 and had booked Adventure Charters after finding them on a website. They seemed to be the best priced for what I was looking for and I paid them in full before the my wedding day. They held up part of the contract, but the driver failed to pick up myself and my bridesmaids to bring us to the church. At the last minute we all had to scramble to get into our cars.....I was late to my wedding because of them. After all of this, I called the company the following week to tell them what had happened. I was told that the driver said he was asked to go get alcohol by one of the groomsmen after he dropped them off at the church. He supposedly went to do this and that is why he did not pick me up. He never went to get any alcohol, he was seen driving aimlessly around the area and ended up back at the church parking lot. I was also told by the company that I should have called them when the driver didn’t show up, therefore this is my fault that this happened and they are doing nothing to compensate me. Don’t ever use a vendor that you have not heard anything about, especially Adventure Charters.
