What do you drink?

I am just curious as to what everyone's favorite drink(s) happens to be. I was chatting about it on another board earlier. So, let's hear it and don't forget to post exactly what is in it.

I personally am a wine girl. I LOVE Amazir Rouge which is this great table wine from Morocco and Goats do Roam (what a cute name) that is a Cote du Rhone from South Africa. But, I am also a fan of Wolf Blass Reisling.

Now that hte wine snob is finished, when it comes to cocktails, I am a Grey Goose L'Orange with cranberry juice and a twist of lime or a Cosmopolitian fan.

Strongbow hard cider and Guiness aren't too bad either. But if I have to have a beer I prefer Hoegarrden or Blue Moon. (Both white wheat beers from Belguim)

Out of that list I like beer. I also like several mixed drinks and some shots. I am also a margarita fan. Sometimes an ice cold Bud Light or Shiner just hits the spot though.

If I still drank it would be whiskey and coke. A good ol favorite in my family and funny because that's what Matt drank when we first met! Now we're a water and fruit juice type people with the occasional vodka and something drinkers but that's like once or twice a year!

I am not a beer drinker. I just cant get a taste for it. I LOVE fuzzy navels - peach shnapps and orange juice. I get this when I go out to a bar. If I am out at dinner I order a strawberry daquire (sp?). If I am buying something to just have at home I will buy watermelon smirnof. I like the green apple to but I love the watermelon.

I like beer (Michelob Ultra draught) because it's cheap, and it isn't sweet. If I have to drink hard liquor, I prefer margaritas.

Seriously though, I like wine on occasion (White Zinfandel preferably) I will drink beer every once in a while, but I have to be in a beer mood ... I like Killian's Irish Red. I like Mike's Hard Lime alot, I'm not sure what you call that though, it isn't really a beer and it isn't really a wine cooler.

I also like mixed drinks, usually fruity drinks with Rum or Vodka or flavored liquors like Midori or Amaretto :drool: Some of my favs are Strawberry daiquiris (with Myers coconut rum), Mud slide, flavored vodka and club soda, Cosmopolitans and flavored martinis, Rum and Mr Pibb and many more :p I think I may go have a drink now ;)

I like Mike's Hard Lime alot, I'm not sure what you call that though, it isn't really a beer and it isn't really a wine cooler.

Technically it is a malt liquor beverage. All of the Mike's, Smirnoff Ices, all that prebottled flavored stuff like them, malt liquors. Sean drinks Mike's occasionally but I can't bring myself to do it. It doesn't set right with me. But, it does have a higher alcohol content than been and wine.

I have had a few mixed drinks at a few family parties and it was mostly rum in the Strawberry Daqueri's or Pina Coladas or vanilla vodka and sunny D.

PS...when camping a little Baileys and coffee is soooo good!! (ok a lot!!) And ameretto and orange juice is the greatest camping breakfast drink!!! lol

I don't know if i have one favorite. If I had to choose, it would be captian and coke. But also I love drinks that have the fruity taste

My fav drink is Jack Daniels and water. I do love a beer though. I am mostly fond of the hefs. I almost have a glass of wine when I visit my mom about once a week.

1) Jim Beam or Jack and Coke
2) Wild Turkey and Mt Dew (this is what we call kickin' chicken')
3) Bud Light in a bottle if I can't get my whiskey

I'm a vodka kinda girl. I like vodka coolers alot. But also mixed vodka drinks. Mostly mixed with Orange Juice. I loooove Orange Juice.
but with all honesty. I don't drink alot. I mostly only have it at Christmas or at the cottage.

I voted beer because I drink regular Bud, and the flavored beer, Bacardi Orange Manderin (or whatever it is haha) and Smirnoff Ice and others. I also like Tequila Rose (shot).

I don't drink so much.....but, my favorite drink so far is the Cowgirl Quencher from Texas Roadhouse. It has Rum, Peach Schnapps, orange juice, pineapple juice, and grenadine in it. Yum...makes me want one really bad even though they do cost $5....

I drink Cider mainly and would rather this than a soft drink if we pop out for lunch etc. but i like any alcohol apart from lager/beer. Short drinks then i like JD, cocktails i like a mudslide (baileys, tia maria and chocolate milk) oh god i give in i will drink most things given!! lol xxx

DH and I had a drink we've dubbed 'Spiked Punch' last night ... Fruit punch, Sprite (or other lemon line soda) and Rum. It was quite good, I had three before I noticed I had a good buzz ;)

I like frozen margaritas, daquaris, strongbow cider, labatt blue light, sangria, and alot of different mixed drinks. I like the fancy shots, like teh girl scout cookie shots, lemon drops, oatmela cookie shots, etc. and I love baileys and tequila rose. I am also an Irish Carbomb fan. Although this list would make it seem like I am a really big drinker...I'm really not!!!

My first... Mudslide Kahlua, Chocolate syrup, vanilla ice cream, bailey's (i think) and milk. Yuuuuuummmmmmyyyy!!

My second.... almost the same... plain baileys with ice. I will drink that if I am in a bar, since they rarely can make an actual mudslide.

I love and prefer the 'actual' mudslide with ice cream :drool: But you can get it at a bar made with cream or milk instead and it is good too ;)

You might also want to try a 'Russian Quaalude' It is Kaluha, Frangelico, Bailey's, Vodka and cream or milk *yum* :p

my fav drink is Cranberry juice, a splash or OJ and malibu rum.. must be malibu though. I drink that on a normal night out with the girls.. if we are downtown bar hopping its usually a beer, it travels well- in vegas i drink kaliah and milk, on a cruise, daquiris and at home etc wine :)

and i rarely drink but i have to have a different kind of drink wherever i am..

I would have to say pretty much the same thing I did 2 years ago in this thread ;) However I am sort of over Killian's these days. If I have a beer, it is usually a Corona.

Rum and Pibb or Whiskey and Sprite are the more common things I drink though. Every now and then I will have a Cosmo or something else.

After a drinking contest with a fifth of Tequila in a half hour, I stay away from anything that has a taste to it. So for me it is what I jokingly call "frou frou" drinks. Strawberry daqueries, mud slides and the orange dreamsicle from TGIF's. (taste like the orange and vanilaa 50/50 ice cream bars.

Of course I probably only drink maybe a total of 10 drinks all year. But those are the 3 I would go for.

I am a beer drinker. I hate the taste of wine, and only like some mixed drinks. As far as beet goes it has to be good stuff like micro brewed, not the cheap stuff.

Amunet, I am with you there. I am a beer snob. Can't shop at the corner store for what I drink. And on that note-Ladies, if all you're drinking is Budweiser and Corona, you need to open up your beer horizons. It doesn't all taste like cat pee-just the fizzy stuff made from corn. There's a whole world of really tasty beer out there. This, of course, is coming from a girl who had her wedding reception in a local craft brewery. :D

I have also been known to enjoy a small glass of wine with lunch when I am having writer's block. :winktongue:

And since I came back from my honeymoon in Ireland, I have started to enjoy good Irish whiskeys with ginger ale.

My absolute favorite drink is a frozen strawberry margarita. And it MUST have salt on the rim. But I also like Malibu Bay Breezes. And if I'm out with FH I usually drink the girly malt beverages. Right now my favorite is Smirnoff's Raw Green Tea. I can drink a lot of those really fast! LOL

I like all of those fruity girly drinks that taste like candy! Lemon Drop Martinis are my favorite, but I also love Painkillers, Cosmopolitans, Margaritas, Pina Coladas, Mimosas...

Come to think of it, all of my favorites have citrus notes!

I voted for wine (I usually stick to whites), but I also like a good margarita when I'm at the beach. On occasion, I'll drink a captain morgan and coke or my "girly"version of a screwdriver (which my FH actually loves now) - raspberry vodka with orange&pineapple juice. I can't stand beer, although I had a great cider the last time I was in the UK but can't find anything I like as well here in the US.

It's so hard to chose! I like white and red wine, beer, and any liquor when it's mixed well! It just depends on my mood. My FAVORITE mixed drink right now is Vodka and Sprite Zero.

I wouldn't know this per se because I'm not of age yet...*wink, wink* but if I were, I would chose beer as my choice. Sometimes I like a glass of wine, and lately me and my MOH have been drinking X-Rated Vodka (shots or with lemonade). But definitely beer, always.

I don't drink because I really dislike the taste of alcohol. Seems like no matter how they try to disguise it, it's there!

But I did try 3 fruit wines at our State Fair this past summer that I liked enough to be willing to buy a bottle . . . so perhaps I'll be drinking more from now on, who knows :) They're from local wineries, one is very easy to get, one is slightly more difficult, and one is virtually impossible unless they mail it to me!

Fiance is about to bottle his first batch of home brew. It is a chestnut-colored red ale and I tried a sip, though it's not carbonated yet, and it wasn't bad, relatively speaking. It didn't have that harshness and sour alcohol taste that most commercial beer does, and I could taste more of the beer itself than just the bitter alcohol.

So I might be willing to learn to like our home brew, if it all stays mellow like that after being carbonated.

Oh -- and I had a Bailey's and cream once, with ice, that was good :)
