My sister and I made these peanut butter and butterscotch candy things yesterday -

Here is the recipe we used ...

Melt peanut butter and butterscotch chips (we use a whole bag of each) in double boiler with a little milk until smooth.

Mix in some crunchy chow mien noodles (about 2 or 3 cups) and then spoon out mixture on to parchment paper; refrigerate to set and enjoy.

Some recipes add nuts, marshmallows, candy or dried fruit too; some even drizzle with chocolate and sprinkle with coconut flakes. We have never tried it any other way, but I want to try chocolate next time.

Mmmm yummy! I love those! I don't think I've ever had butterscotch ones though. Yum! I've never made them but might have to since they look so simple!! :)

Oh Yum!! Those are the best! We make them when we do our Christmas baking every year. They are really good dipped in chocolate too...

I LOVE those things. I'm going to have to make some next week now that you have me thinking about them.

It's actually an entree :)

All you do, is get your favorite tortilla chips and fill the bottom of a plate with them - and crunch them down. Layer as follows, from the bottom up:

Chips
Beans (Homemade beans are the best)
Lettuce
Salad toppings (Tomatoes, Onions, Olives, etc)
Cheese
Salad dressing

Just a liiiiiiitle different :D
