Well ladies, still no baby but we have a plan! They broke my water around 830 and I just got my epi about an hour ago. I haven't felt any contractions the whole time just about though! I'll post in more detail later but the doctor doesn't think I'm going to be able to deliver vaginally though. Somehing about the placement of my cervix or something. Anyhow, he will hopefully be here early this evening or late this afternoon!

Good to hear you have a plan, although I hope for your sake the doctor is wrong about not being able to deliver vaginally. But whatever happens, you're doing great and I'm sure he'll be here before too long, healthy and hollering. Thanks for the update.

Thanks ladies!! We are all doing well...Zach's temperature was really low so they took him to the warmer and to give him a bath and all that good stuff, so I had a few minutes. I'm pretty sore right now, but I figured I was due some pain b/c I had NONE before the delivery. Even with the Pitocin for like 30 hours, I was only at 2 cm at -1 station. They broke my water this morning and started me on an epi pretty quickly. I was contracting according to the internal monitor but I wasn't feeling any of it, even though I still had feeling for the msot part. After almost 12 hours, I still wasn't dialated anymore and had moved back up to a -3 station. Turns out my cervix was really anterior and he couldn't get into the birth canal, hence the no dialation. The doctor said there was maybe a 20% chance of delivering vaginally, so I might was to start preparing myself for a C-Section. Easy decision for me. I wasn't about to push for hours with those odds!

After the c-section, she said that even if I had gone a week overdue, he wasn't coming out vaginally. He was so far up there, they still had to use a vacuum to help get him out!! They used staples, though, b/c of my weight, and I'm not entirely sure what that means. I've never had so much as stitches before today, so I'm clueless on a lot of this stuff!

I've tried BFing once so far and he did pretty good, I think. I'm not entirely sure how to tell he is getting anything! Well, that's all I can think of right now and they are hopefully going to be bringing him back soon. It's still surreal right now! I'm sure that will wear off after I've been up multiple times throughout the night lol!

Overall, it was a LONG couple of days, but pretty easy. I love him SOOO much and love seeing Stephen with him :luxlove:

Hi ladies!!

Well, we just got home, finally! Things are going well for the most part. He has taken to breastfeeding wonderfully-in fact, so wonderfully that he couldn't get enough this morning. He decided to help my milk come in and cluster feed for like 5 hours straight. Not fun! My nipples are still pretty sore. I will update with more detail about our hospital stay later.

Health wise, he is doing good. A little jaundice, so we are going to the ped in the morning for his 3rd test. Hopefully this gets resolved quickly! I feel pretty good, just a little sore, although I am still taking a little pain medicine. I'm anxious to get through tonight-hopefully it will go better than the nights in the hospital did!

I'm anxious to catch up on everyone else's journals, so hopefully I will be able to do that in the next few days. My sister is home from college for the summer so she is going to be over here nonstop, so we will have an extra set of hands for a while.
