My fiance and I are planning to have a winter wedding. :hearts:
We'd like to incorporate:
Snow
Ice Sculptures
Burgundy & Ivory colors
We don't want our wedding to be reminiscent of the holidays... so we're iffy about the burgundy, but it's one of my favorite colors.
Does anyone have some suggestions?

I think for the snow/ice thing you could use white, silvers, pale blues and even light lavender or real light green; not sure how burgundy would tie in there.
Here are a few inspiration boards I found -

I love these ideas! I am still torn between wedding themes. I have given the thought to "ice princess" due to WI wedding in winter. everything in light blues, whites and silver. no holiday cliches... Just snow flakes glitter and soft lights.
I honestly dont know how to incorporate and type of red into your idea without the risk of Christmas decor or feel.

Maybe use ivory for the dresses & burgundy for flowers & accents. IMO that wouldn't scream holiday. We had a December wedding and used black & white with a few red accents. I got married in December because I graduated college, not because it was near Christmas! There were a few poinsettias, but that was the only holiday decor we used.

I'm having these colors, or similar at least. My version of burgundy is actually a deep raspberry, and I am using frosted/iced raspberry branches and garland to pull it all together with snowflakes and crystals (not too much of any one thing) as part of my decorations. You should be able to find various berry branches that would correspond with your specific burgundy color.

I like the idea of light blues, white and silver for a winter wonderland. It's classic and pretty. However, I believe ivory and burgundy would be just as lovely. I would leave out any other colors though, and leave it at that. It'd be classic and timeless. I've seen burgundy used without looking holidayish. If you love the color... go for it! Start browsing sits, magazines, etc for inspiration. Pile it all together and start to piece inspirations together. In the end, you'll find what you truly love!
Good luck!

I had a winter wedding with blue black and white. Great idea and i think burgundy would look amazing but if you don't want christmas incorporated definitely be careful on the decorations.

My wedding was on Dec 29 - in Minnesota.
We went with pale blues and silvers -- fake frosted sticks held hanging crystals for centerpieces. I think it turned out really good. (obligatory wedding photograph here (http://externaluse.federerphotography.com/TPPF/10/JoeColleen369a.jpg))
I like that you've decided to embrace the winter rather than try to 'run from it'. We did the same -- snowmen everywhere, even our cakes were snowmen. (everyone got an individual 5" tall snowman made of stacked-then-glazed and frosted cupcakes - photo here (http://www.joefederer.com/snowman.jpg)). Our favors were 'snowman soup' -- ie: hot chocolate mix. I'm very glad with how it turned out.
Another nice thing is you can get xmas lights for cheap. ;)

Wowww!!! Beautiful !!!
To keep your floral costs down, you can use flowers that are easily obtainable in the winter like poinsettias, lilies and roses. Evergreens and holly branches can add to the mix as well.
