There were three of us girls due on or extremely close to 11/27 (friends of ours). One girl had her baby late last week (a girl named Paxton) and this morning I found out the other one had a boy yesterday (Jackson David). Why am I THE LAST one to have a baby?!? I'm sooo frustrated and achy, tired, and generally DONE with this whole pregnancy and I still have eight days to go. I've been teary-eyed all morning! I need a serious pep talk to get me through these last eight days, because it seems like this is the never-ending pregnancy...

Awww, I'm sorry you are feeling crummy! I'm expecting to be the exact same way when I get to where you are. Just think though, in eight days you are going to be holding that precious little boy of yours! :)

Aww, I'm sorry that you're the last one!!!! I think the little peanut just doesn't want to give up the warm bed (come on... we can relate to that, right? Sunday mornings I NEVER want to get out of bed!). It'll be that time before you know it - and these last few days of waiting will seem like a thing of the past. Hang in there!!!

You are one of the cutest pregnant ladies I have ever seen, I am sure that you do not feel that way now.... but you really are!!!!

Only eight more days and you will get to meet your precious baby boy and it will make it all worth it!

The closer your baby is to term the better it is for his health.

I'm sorry your feeling over whelmed, maybe you should try the labor inducing cookie recipe. I hope your little boy makes his appearance soon. I am anxious to see pictures of him.
Good Luck.

I'll have DH take a belly pic tonight! :) Hopefully it'll be the last one...

I was already planning on going to the grocery store today, so I should really buy the ingredients for those cookies! I have everything but the cayenne pepper! Yay! But they sound kind of gross... :bbconfused:

Thanks for the words of encouragement!

Breckan, you are a beautiful woman, and being pregnant just enhances that. I know you may feel miserable, but you look great!

I tried the cookies and they were VERY YUMMY! I'd say make em up and eat up girl! The ones I had even had extra cayenne in them and they were still totally yum!

Just think - this time next week you *could* be holding your little one :)

Thanks for the laugh, Gwen! :yesnod:

Here are the cookies! I've eaten a bit of the dough, but that's it so far. They're a little spicy with that cayenne pepper!! Recipe made 3 dozen.

I'll go to town on them later tonight, when I'm near a bathroom just in case. I have a doctor appointment tonight at 6pm and don't want to be sick for it (TMI??) on the back end.

Hang in there Breckan! Like a quote in one of my pregnancy books - "remember the words of obstetrician J. Milton Huston...'In all my years of practice, I've never seen a baby just stay in there." LOL!

Wow, those cookies do look good!

Good idea about waiting til you've seen the doc to eat all that cayenne!

And I agree with Justina that Gwen gets brownie points for the best pep talk!

I'm not one for spicy anything, so I only ate 3 of them so far. DH couldn't even taste the "secret ingredient" of cayenne pepper! But he puts hot sauce on EVERYTHING!! He took some to work today because I don't think I can eat too many of them.

Awwww, sorry they're not to your liking.... maybe you should try the "prego pizza" :)

I was at the same point as you now when I was pregnant with my first. I read raspberry hot tea works. So I drank 2 cups a day and after 2 days Ryan arrived. Might be worth a try!

I think I'll be trying the tea next. I've also read that evening primrose oil (in capsule form) will ripen the cervix, too. Sounds like another trip to the grocery store!

Mom swore it was the slice of chocolate cake and the whole watermelon that started her labor with me. don't know if you want to eat that much but it couldn't hurt, right?

I have a friend who had 5 kids and she did the same thing with every single one of them and always went into labor. She had sex!!!! I guess there is something in the sperm that helps with it?

I've heard of this!

I've heard of this!

I looked it up and this is what I found: Have sex. A favorite for many pregnant women, sex can help by releasing a hormone called oxytocin, which causes the uterus to contract. Additionally, semen contains a substance known as prostaglandins, which will help soften the cervix.

A whole different meaning to "Baby Dance" LOL! :)

I just can't get myself in the mood to have sex, no matter how miserable and uncomfortable I am! :bbconfused:

Nothing new to report. I went shopping this morning and had the thought that my water might break while in Wal-mart. But it didn't! Just some crazy thoughts about what might happen.

See, and I didn't think about that! I was gonna say baby dance but thought it didn't apply on this end of the deal.

Breckan,

I am sure you are uncomfortable and miserable. I also remember how hard you fought to have this little guy! The wait will be well worth it. (Personally I think he didn't want to share the spotlight with the other 2 babies)

Alright Breckan you haven't been on the board in 36 hours... I'm a bit concerned......

Brian's Bride
11-22-2009, 09:14 AM
Good lord people! You all are worse than my family (who by the way haven't even called to see how things are going)! I really appreciate your concern and find it humorous!

I'm alive and baby's still kicking indoors! We had a busy day yesterday of hanging Christmas lights outside. I should've snapped some pics while they were all on, but didn't and now DH will NOT turn them on until turkey-day. But it's the most lights we've ever hung. They're soooo pretty! Then we went to Pizzeria Uno for our "final going-out meal." They had a documentary on pizza on the Travel Channel this week and so I really wanted some deep dish! Finally we finished the night watching Bruno, which was a really disturbing movie... part porn yet funny and WEIRD...

Breckan you made me LOL and Matt and Sierra are like "huh?"

I'm glad you and baby are doing well. Still scheduled for Tues??
