I just thought I would take a poll to see if you are or did use chair covers. :)

The chairs at our venue are hideous, so we definitely need chair covers!! Plus I think it adds elegance and I love them!!!!!

We almost got chair covers. The venue had this atrocious red leather chairs. Words could not describe how awful they were. So I started to get chair covers. But about a month before our event, they got these gorgeous new gold brocade striped chairs that were fabulous. Ours was the first eventt hat they used them for. So, I scrapped the chair covers. The chairs themselves were too pretty to even think about hiding.

We didnt bother as it would take more money then we had and no one that would have been there would have realy cared any way. And I certainly didnt care.

No, though I would really really like to...we might still use them for the headtable though.

We opted not to because the chairs were folding and they were completely white so no worries. besides people only sat in them for tops 45 minutes! ;)

I would like chair covers, but they are too expensive for our budget and amount of guests. I would love to have them though!

The chairs at our venue are nice but crisp clean chair covers with a Victorian Lilac sash was a must!! They tie everything together and make the room look so elegant. A must have in my opinion!

No, because we didn't need them.

Our site has beautiful chairs so we're not doing chair covers. We need minimal decorations.

I would have liked to get chair covers for our chairs, but the budget did not allow for it. The firehouse has been talking about getting all new chairs for the banquet hall for a while now. I have been trying to get them to have them before the wedding!

I went to your picture thread to look at your chairs and I agree 100% your chairs were lovely!

No chair covers. Actually, the hall is remodeling the room now and buying all new chairs. We saw one of them the last time we were there. They are really nice!

Yes, I love the elegant look of them.

Nope. The chairs at our venue look fine and chair covers are just annoying added expense.

yes, we are using ivory chair covers with a red or black sash for the reception. I really wish i could get trhem for the ceremony to cover the white folders but not spending ANOTHER 900!!!

The chairs at my venue were pretty stuffed chairs, so we didn't need to use chair-covers! I do think they're a useful way to make folding chairs look formal and beautiful, though!

I'd like to, but we can't afford it. Heck, we can barely afford to rent chairs, period! We're getting the cheap-looking folding kinds but I figure, our guests only *have* to sit in them for the half-hour of the ceremony, after that they'll be up and down at the reception, eating and dancing and mingling and so on, so chairs aren't really a priority.
Personally I would have liked to rent those nice square cane-back chairs you always see on TV but those are like $10/chair.

No, they're just extra cost for us. The chairs at our location are nothing special but they're also not the focus so eh.

Our venue comes with white chair covers and white chair sashes. We are going with the white covers and then adding a ivory/tan type colored sash

We have those wood folding ones (black) included. I wouldn't even consider chair covers because that is way too formal for what we're going for.

We did, but only because Steve's parents offered to pay for them...

Well the chairs at our venue are not matching the colors of our wedding, so I was looking into renting chairs, but that can get pretty expensive.
Chair covers can be found at really cheap prices if you look in the right places. I'm having a stand up cocktail reception so I only need about 50 chairs to seat the elderly and soon-to-be-mothers at my church, and I'm paying $3.00 for each chair cover w/sash. It can add up if you're having 300 chairs..but it works out well for me. :grinhappy:

Our venue was an old (built in 1932) barn that was renovated and converted into a hall. So they would have been way too fancy.
