I know we know the answer to this on a few of us girls; but, just for fun, let us know this about you. :bbmrgreen:

I am 100% a city girl. There is no way around it. Roughing it to me is being more than 15 minutes from a nail salon or shopping district. I grew up on a farm and from the time I was about 6 I was counting the seconds until I could get off. I haven't looked back.

This is all I have to say....

New York
is where I'd rather stay
I get allergic smelling hay
I just adore a penthouse view
Darling, I love you,
but give me Park Avenue.

Didn't that come from that old TV show, 'Green Acres' I think it was?

I lean more towards the city, I don't like camping and farms or anything like that ... but I do like nature and being outside on occasion. But I want to have plumbing and air conditioning close by!

As for city life, I don't like big crowds or traffic ... I don't want to live out in the middle of no where, but I'd like to be far enough away from my neighbors that they couldn't hear my radio and I wouldn't have to worry about the neighborhood kids as much. So I guess I'd prefer somewhere in between.

I'm a little bit of both...I like being away from the city, but not so far out that I have to drive half an hour just to get to the grocery store.

One day we hope to build a house on lots of land. No nearby neighbors, lots of space and trees. Maybe a small pond. I grew up right outside a bigger city but always dreamed about the country. Now I'm almost there and I can't wait!!!

Sing it sister!

I live in the 20th largest city in the country and it isn't busy enough for me. I would move back to DC in a heart beat if Sean would go.

I am definatly a city girl. I need the noise and the busy, the people and the lights. I was born in the subburbs of Toronto and raised in the subburbs of Calgary. Moving back to Ontario was a bit of a shock to my system because we moved to a town. There was no subway just a crappy bus system. There was a farm across the street with cows.
I love the country though. I've definatly grown to appreciate the town we live in now because there are so many farms arround us and it's very easy to escape to the quiet and the beauty of the country side and all the farmers markets. But so close to the city and all my needs. lol!

I voted that I am a bit of both. I was raised in what they call a city but to me I it is not a city. I live in a city now but it is not huge. Big enough for me though. I would perfer out in the boondocks some where away from every one. I would love to live on a farm. I hate the idea of my kids growing up in the city. I want to be a small town girl with nothing going on.

Dont get me wrong I like the city I live in and there is alot to do and see. But I would love to be able to have a place away from every one.

I'm a country girl!! I was raised in the city and HATED it!! I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Then I moved to a small town to find my a cowboy/country boy! I found myself a little bit of both. ;) We are living in the city right now and we are counting the days until it's back to the farm and back to the peaceful life!!!!!

I am a burb-an-ite! I grew up in the burbs, I am comfortable in the burbs but we will retire to a log home on a lake.

Hugh and I are going to be looking for a house after we are married and the big question is whether we are going to stay in the burbs or go a little further out for the "less burb/still not farm land" lifestyle. We are torn between charm/larger size/lower price/longer travelling time and convenience/resale value/higher taxes.

I'm a country girl. I live in a town with about 700 people. In my town there are 3 gas stations, a barber shop, a tiny beauty shop, a post office, schools, feed store, fire station, and 4 cafes. Houston is an hour away. Beaumont is 45 minutes away. Liberty is 10 miles down the road. That town has about 3,000 people. In Liberty all the basic fast food chains are there-McDonalds, Jack-in-the-Box, Burger King, Whataburger. There are nail salons and beauty shops. We also just recently got a Super Walmart. There are 2 movie rental stores, HEB and Brookshire Brothers (grocery store), a couple of restaurants, Cato, Palais Royal, Payless, Baskin's (Western wear store), and Burke's Outlit. We have a small print shop and dentists and doctors and vets. Oh yes, we have lawyers too. Oh and we have a couple of bars. I've never been in them because they are kinda skanky.

My point is, we do have things here. We just don't have a lot of stuff and we have to drive to do most of clothes shopping and other type of shopping besides groceries.

I will probably always live in the country because Justin hates the city. We also have horses and other animals that need lots of land to play on.

In some respects I would like to live in a neighborhood in a nice suburban home. I would like the mall to be closer too and the movies. I would also like to be closer to some of the night life. But in the end I know I fit in better in a small town. It is the type of environment I would like my children to be raised in (when we have them). There is never any traffic to deal with here. There is also a strong sence of community. People do get in your business sometimes, but overall most people here are friendly. The community is self sufficient. For instance, during the hurricane we took care of ourselves very well. We hacked out way through roads and took care of our own. We made it through days without water and weeks without power. We worked together as a community to do that. I felt really good about my community when that whole ordeal was over.

I'm a bit of both. I lived in Philadelphia for about 8 years before moving to a more rural area. Both are nice.

Country Girl here. We live where the population is 2800 and we love it. We are only about 30 minutes away from a larger city with a mall and so on so forth. but we prefer the small town living. It is nice to have some privacy and trust in your neighbors with small town (country) living versus locking up and closing windows at night.

LOL KAREN! I am one of the girls she definetly knows the answer too!

COUNTRY BUMPKIN ....fresh as frost out on the pumpkin!

We both bathe regularly and venture into town for toilet paper when we run out pages in the ole' Sears catalog!:bbmrgreen:

We live right outside the city limits of Bowling Green (which is about 45 minutes from Nashville) but it's far enough out that we don't have cable,(thank God for satellite TV and "gasp" I no longer have broadband internet)!

I think I'm a bit of both. I think there are positive points to living both in the country and in the city. I've always lived in the country, but there's an appeal with me to live in the city, I want to try it at least once in my life.
