I have been a little down lately because of my work situation. Things are NOT good there. I hate it and I'm not making productivity. I have to be standard by the end of this month or I will be fired. I really hate it there and I do not want to give them the satisfaction of firing me. I have been looking around and I cannot find a job. If I do, I will submit my app and resume and I don't even get a call back. I don't have a degree or anything but I have 4 years of experience in customer service/sales/call center. I don't get it.

So here's my question... what do I do? Should I put in my two weeks notice then bust my :censored: during the next two weeks to find a new job or should I just wait it out and possibly get fired? I don't want to quit my job without having a new one but I dont' know what's going to happen.

All this and we were just starting to think about buying a house which has got me down as well.

I just need to scream! :bbconfused:

Sorry hun! If I were you I would bust :censored: to find another job, even if it isn't exactly the one you want. It always looks better on a resume that you left the job rather than being fired. If things are as bad as that in the job your are at then anything would be better than that. Even if you get another job, you can always keep looking for bigger and better opportunities.

Best of luck!

Thanks Brandi!

The work environment is horrible there. They will totally **** on you if you do not kiss their butts. I am not the one to kiss butt to get places.

This is just going to mess me up when it comes to us wanting to buy a house. I'm probably going to have to wait even longer now because I will not be at my job for atleast a year.

It's so stressful... sheesh and I thought the wedding planning was stressful!

Good luck Ally!!! I would just put in my notice and bust my :censored: !!! Atleast then you get to leave, instead of getting fired..and your miserable there anyways!!!

I agree. I wouldn't let them fire me. I have heard of similar situations where the job would not let the person finish out their 2 weeks or cut their hours back severly. Just be careful and bust your booty looking for another job. Apply everywhere. Something will come up!

Let yourself get fired because then unemployment kicks in while you look for a new job.

Do you have to have a year in order to get a mortage loan? Here i only need to be through the first 3 months.
I agree in you busting your butt to find another job before you get fired. It looks better to say that you left your job to presue somthing eles then saying you were let go because you didn't make productivity.
I don't know what you've been applying for. but telemarketing is pretty easy to get into i hear. Might not be the nicest of jobs, but it will get you through until you find somthing more like what you want.
Good Luck with the search!

Thanks girls.

It's just so frustrating because when I started it was just customer service and now it is sales and I couldn't sell a life raft to save someone's life!

I think I am going to put in my two weeks notice tomorrow and then bust my booty to find a new job. I have an option if I can't find something, I will go back to my previous employer and beg for my job back temporarily.

Just hope it all works out.

Jenn- Most mortgage co's here in Ohio I do believe require you to be at your job for one year. I have been there two and DH has been at his over two years as well, so maybe if atleast one of us has been at our job for over a year?? Hmm I dunno, but I'm dying to buy a house! I want a puppy! =)

I feel for ya Ally. I am int he same boat. I have been at my job as a bank teller for 3 1/2 years and when I started it was not a high pressured sales job. Now it is and I am not a sales person. If I wanted to be asales person I would have gone into sales. I am not getting the required referrels I am suppsed to have and I dont care at the moment. I am going to try to find some kids to stay home and babysit. But for the summer I amstill there and they cant afford to fire me right now. They would be lost as they cant keep any one on for very long latley. Good luck with your job search. Hope it turns out for the best.
