Either taking a week long vacation or going on a cruise are great ideas for "laid-back" weddings!

I noticed you mentioned "simply getting married while in a U.S. port so I don't have to worry about legalities," but for especially beautiful beaches, consider the U.S. Virgin Islands (St Croix, St Thomas and St John).

Currently Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Disney and Holland America cruise lines port in St Croix. Here we are able to meet SunCelebrations clients when their cruise ship docks, take them to our court to quickly be sworn-in, whisk them away to their ceremony and reception, and back to the boat with time to spare.

Marriage licenses from St Croix are legally recognized throughout the U.S., there is no waiting period, no blood testing, etc. The language and currency are the same as stateside and no passport is required for U.S. citizens to travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Did you mean to post this in reply to someone?

Yes. This thread was created in response to the “Considering a crusie wedding (http://forums.onewed.com/showthread.php?t=23571)” post by arettich, which is unfortunately locked from replies. Because of continued interest in the topic and the related "Wedding on a Yatch? (http://forums.onewed.com/showthread.php?t=23847)” post by Layleks, I thought to share this info with the OneWed community. Please let me know if you would like me to repost elsewhere.

Both of the posts you reference are several months old and both original posters have not been around in just as long. So if you want to bring up the subject again it is probably best to start over on a general note or at least quote or link to the other post as to not confuse anyone ... like me ;)
