Rudy will be two next month and he truly is a miracle cat!!! We almost lost him right after we adopted him...to an illness that was never determined and all his litter mates that were adopted by others didn't survive!!!

We have two dogs, Sebastian and Bebe. Sebastian is the one with long hair (he's a Yorkie/Pomeranian mix) and Bebe (Terrier/Chihuahua mix) is the one with white on her chest. He's 6 years old and she's a bit over 2 years old.

How are the Italian Greyhounds? We have been pondering whether to get a dog or not and I was looking at the I.G.s online. Are they calm or hyper, do you know if they are good around young kids, do they shed a lot? Thanks!

I LOVE IG's ... they are so sweet and loving (especially the boys) I would never have another breed.

They have moments of calm and hyper ;) They love to snuggle, but then they like to run and play too. They can be fine with kids if they are raised together. They can be shy and the prone to leg brakes, especially for the first year. They don't shed much and generally don't effect ppl with allergies, which is one of the reasons we fell in love with the breed.

You could check out www.IGPost.com and check out more on the breed and talk to other owners that have them with kids. (ETA - I am 'flutter' on there, you can find me and see more pics of my furbabies ;))

p.s. - Italian Greyhounds would probably want to chase and/or eat the hamsters

My 2 cats posted above are miracle babies! I worked for a vet last year and a lady brought in a litter of 1 day old kittens that a stray cat had at her house. She couldn't catch the mamma cat so she took the babies to have them put to sleep. I couldn't stand it so I brough home all the baby kittens to try to feed them myself. Blaze and Tiger Lilly were the only ones who survived and now they are a little over a year old!

I just know read this. Thank you for the nice comment Karen! Again you make me blush :bbredface:. About Tiger Lilly and Blaze-they are actually from 2 different litters. I did not specify that the lady brought in 2 sets of litters 2 weeks a part. Blaze is about 2 weeks older than Tiger Lilly.
