Okay... my parents both passed away when I was 11. From that time till I was 17, my aunt and uncle raised me. I considered asking him to walk me since he was pretty much my father growing up. However, my half brother (fathers son) and his mom think he should do it. Does anyone think it would be 'bad' to have both of them walk me? Everyone says thats weird and no one does that.. but I want to.. any advice?

I think you answered your own question when you said "but I want to". If its not weird to you, then it shouldn't matter. This is your day and you call the shots! So if thats what you want to do, then go for it! Forget about what people will say, its how you are going to feel that matters!

I'm so sorry to hear about your parents. But, you need to do what makes you happy. This is your day. If you want both to walk you down, then have both do it. I promise that no one is going to walk up to you in the receiving line and say, "That was weird, why did you do it?" In fact, in traditional Jewish weddings the bride always had two escorts, her father and mother. So two people walking you down the aisle is not completley unheard of. Who knows, you might start a new trend in your family.

Thank you both very much for the encouragement. I don't see anything weird about it, and I really care a lot for both of them.. that's why I decided that. Anyhow, thanks again for the much needed extra support!

I think you should do what you want as well. And if people think it's weird well pooey on them! My mother's walking me down the aisle...at least you have men. :)

Please do what your heart desires, don't make your wedding day one filled with regrets!!
I am walking down the aisle solo! (I'm just selfish like that  )

GOOD LUCK!
