Sean emailed that to me the other day under the heading "Why we don't have kids". I agree with Karen, it would be their last day on earth, so I hope that they had fun!

Hell as the mother to be of the children you are the soon to be nanny of, I would resign. Look at that mess! I would just have to lock the doors to the house, leave the kids in there, and move.

Yeah, this is one of the many reasons DH and I aren't having kids ... I think I would have to hurt somebody.

But I always have to wonder how/why the kids were left unattended long enough to do something like this :bbconfused:

Good question, Brandi. My one-year old niece drowned because someone took their eyes off of her for a minute. :bbcry:

Brandi if they were my kids or related to me that could have happened in 2 minutes or less.......I did tricks like that when I was little...I don't know how I ever sat down (my butt was always fresh from a spanking)!

You know sometimes you think it's a miracle that some of them make it to adulthood. :)

OMG Yes, she was 3 and he was four. They were upstairs I thought "playing". It was my fault because the previous night I had been in the bathroom cutting my own hair and left the scissors....

So here I was 9 months pregnant with my third , thinking I was being a good mommy by making them pancakes for breakfast. I remember smiling to myself thinking "wow they're being so good this morning playing upstairs while I cook" I went up to the room to tell them breakfast was ready and it didn't even hit me untill I looked down and there was all of this hair on the floor. I screamed , then I cried then I laughed , then I ran over to my neighbours so she could come do some damage control. After it was all said and done my daughters hair was shorter than my sons. I had to put dresses on her so no one would confuse her for a boy. Funny now, but quite an experience then. :)

Too funny.:D I haven't had that experience. The worst I ever got, was Amber getting gum all in her hair and I had to cut a lot of it off to get the gum out. I hated having to do that to her, but with gum, you don't have a choice.:bbconfused:

Oh weve done the gum thing too. Everybody would say use this or use that.....tried it ALL and the ONLY thing I found that will remove gum from hair was scissors!

I tried everything.... oil, ice, even hair spray. Nothing worked. And you can't even brush your hair with a little bit of gum in it, let alone a lot. It hurts like hell!! :bbmad:

That would be my child's last day on earth! The worst thing I ever did to the house was break a window, fall through the patio door in a high chair, and I colored on the wall once. Those kids have nothing on me!

After all we've been through trying to have a child, I wouldn't say it would be their last, but they would pay for it!! lol. When they were old enough to get a job, they'd be waddling their butt to McDonalds to get a job and pay for every thing they wrecked with the paint. BTW, my jaw dropped when I saw the pic!! lol

My son has never done that. BUT, he did one time color all over the walls, bedding and himself with a permanent marker. That was fun.

My jaw dropped as well. I just stared at it for a min. before reading all the psots. I am proud to say my kids have done nothing like this. Would I be pissed? YES!!! But I know once it was all over ( a few days later ) I would be ok again. I think the most my kids have done ( so far god help me ) is color on some walls but they got that out of their systems real fast.

The parent or who ever took the picture must have found it a bit funny to have bothered to take out the camera and snap the photo. I dont think I would have though tbaout that lol.

Thanks for sharing Karen.

This does look like something my 2 1/2 yr old nephew would do. He is one fast little bugger. Take your eyes off him for a second and he is some where doing something. My sister found him IN the oven with a pepsi he got out of the fridge by himself. He has thrown the cordless phoen into the fish tank. He got out of the house and was sittiing on the neighbors step knocking on their door. My sister has her hands full. She cant go to the bathroom unless she knows EXACTLY where Tom is and who is watching him for a min.

I'm assuming it's paint... and my first question is why would any parent leave paint for kids to get into?

My neice isn't fast she just doesn't listen. She will get a bag of cheetos for example and come to you saying, "Please... " so you go to give her some and she'll start grabbing for the bag and before you know it, you have cheetos on your floor and she's jumping on them. :bbeek: (real story here..)

I love kids but I love them even more when you can send them back to their parents.

Every talks about how these kids could be left alone long enough to do this. This probably only took them all of about 5 mins to do. And when you a parent and your kids are playing together nice and quiet for 5 mins you enjoy it. If they are quiet for much longer you then know they are up to someting they shouldnt be doing. My kids are 2 yrs apart in age. So they are always fighting about something stupid. On the days I dont see or hear them every 5 second I enjoy it. But I do have to peak in on them to make sure they are still alive.

07-16-2006, 10:27 AM
The picture is probably fabricated, because if any child did this I don't think the parents would be in any mood to take a pic...unless they knew that the insurance company would cover it and wanted proof!!!

CindySue
07-16-2006, 06:49 PM
While I agree with Gwen, a few minutes of quiet time is awsome.....you do know when to get worried.......
Angel, you have a valid point. If that was my kids, taking a pic would NOT be my first thought. And with that one little boy still smiling.......as soon as I saw that damage, my children would NOT be smiling about it!!!!

I don't know, that little one on the right looks like he is getting ready to bolt for his life. See him gripping the table, that is for traction to get a fast start out of the gate!
