Many couples who plan a beach wedding do their best to incorporate the theme throughout the whole event. Fortunately, with surfside nuptials gaining in popularity, it's easy to find the necessary beach wedding decorations. They're available in many party stores, decorating shops and especially on the Internet.
The following are items that work well for beach wedding decorations:
Sea shells of various shapes and sizes – Place on tables, in corners, even on top pf the wedding cake.
Drift Wood – Place off to the side where no one will trip over them.
Star Fish – Like shells these can be placed on tables or strategically placed on floors and walls. They can even hang from ceiling with fishing line.
Nets – Place on the wall and hang shells, starfish and even buoys.
Buoys – Place in corners or even use as centerpieces.
Pearls – Use to adorn shells, star fish and other decorations.
Anchors – Hang from walls.
Rope – Hang from walls or nets.
Oars – Place in corners or lean against walls.
Life Rings – Hang on Walls.
Surf or boogie boards – Lean against walls.
Crystal or glass bowls filled can be filled with any number of the following:
Sand
Glass marbles
Pearls
Small sea shells
Small star fish
A glass or crystal votive can be placed in the middle of the centerpiece with a candle inside. The lit candle will reflect off the shells and the marbles causing a nice effect.
Tropical flowers also make wonderful centerpieces. Your florist is sure to have many suggestions. Let her know of the theme and ask to see pictures of other such centerpieces. His sample book will give you many ideas.
