I lost my drivers license, and I cant find it anywhere. I have gone through my purse, i even switched purses hoping I would find it. Gone through my wallet like 10 times, emptied my drawers, looked through the car, gone through the laundry, called all the stores and even went back to some that i have been to. Went back to the bank. I have begun to think its useless, I have lost it forever, but it made me cry today, must be all the hormones. LOL. Any ideas of where I should look next?

I don't have any good ideas for ya, but I just wanted to say sorry and hope ya find it safe and sound! I know how nerve wracking it is to lose something, especially your license!
Good luck! :)

Oh no! I hope you find it! I don't have any ideas that you haven't already covered, my first thought was to look in the laundry because if mine is lost, that's where it usually is.

On no!! :( I lost my credit card once and searched and searched. Finally I called to get another one. A few days later I found it stuck and a different pocket of my wallet:bbredface:. Maybe you should just apply for a new one - I don't know what it is like there but here we can just do it over the internet and they use the picture they took from your last DL. Good luck! I hope it turns up!:crossfingers:
What a bummer! Sorry to hear you lost your D/L. You've checked your pockets... did you check the dryer/washer & the vents/hose going off the dryer?

That stinks!! I've lost mine before, and both times it ended up being in the back pocket of the jeans I was wearing - I have no idea why I put it there instead of back in my purse, but now when I loose something like that it's always the first place I look!

Oh no!!! If you can't find it then check online and you may be able to order a new one. We can do that in TN. It costs, but it is there when you need it! I'm sorry! Maybe it will turn up!!!:yesnod:

unfourtunatley I live in an apartment so if it was in the wash, I will never get it back, and for the jeans pocket, I only have two pair of jeans that fit me, and I have checked both pairs. Cry. Oh well, I guess I will just have to pay the $22 bucks and get a new one.

Wow! That is a lot! I didn't realize they are that expensive!!! As my pops would say, "darn that dumb troll!" lol He used to always say that when his things would disappear.

Pray to Saint Anthony! Haha - That's what my mom always says even though we aren't religious. I try it sometimes and it works!

Did you check between armchair or couch cushions? Sometimes, I find DH's credit cards there!
Also, check the really obvious places like tabletops and kitchen counters - it could be hidden in plain sight!

Where do you set your purse? It might have fallen behind a cabinet or dresser..

Unfourtunatley I have turned my apartment upside down looking for the darn thing, I guess its time to go to the DMV and get a replacement, I just know the minute I pay for a new one the old one will show up.

If you use debit cards and CC to pay online or anything like that, maybe check your mail and paper piles. When I pay bills online with the debit card, sometimes they get sandwiched in between my printed receipts and the bill statements. Being pregnant, maybe you lost it with some new baby items or with papers. Not much good for suggestions, but for our house, usually lost cards are in with the papers and mail. Good luck!!!

I say the DMV. If Cali is like NY you walk in and spend 15 mins and walk out. No pics to take or anything. Fill out the for wait 15 mins and sign for it.

UGH I HATE going to the DMV. At least try to make an appointment to make the wait shorter!
Did you check every nook and cranny in your car? My cards and license always end up in the small crevice between the seat and cup holder.

LOL...Tell me about it. I had to go there since last month and I haven't gone yet. The one time I went the line was through the door. Its different down here. In Ny the longest I stayed in a DMV was 15 mins. Here its more like 1-2 hours. Guess you gotta do it when you have to do it.

HAHA 15 mins in DMV in Cali is UNHEARD of. Well.. you can walk in at 4:50pm and hope they let you in the door and they'll have you out real quick, but any other time of the day it's a 45 min wait minimum everywhere I've been all around NorCal. I've waited as long as 3.5 hours before :realmad:

Makes you wonder why they just dont do certain things online. Not to mention the Gov employees can be rude. I should stop paying my taxes. :yesnod:

Oh they've switched a LOT of the DMV stuff to online - but so much of it requires a photo ID and signature that most of it has to be in person anyway.

I think they need to set up a system like some credit systems use to identify you. A series of questions only you would know etc

well i have come to the conclusion that its gone forever, I have a bad feeling it may have gotten thrown away with some old papers or something. Guess its time to go to the DMV and get a new one.

I haven't changed my name or gotten a new ID because it means going to DMV... :irked: Good luck Megan! When are you going to get a new one?
