View Full Version : I bought my dress!!!

It only took one shopping trip for me. I went to David's Bridal with a list of favorites printed out. There was one dress in particular that I had my eye on for months online. I had even seen it in person last Spring when my sister went to pick up her dress. I loved it but figured I would end up hating it on myself.

So when I went in my consultant asked me which one was my favorite from my list, I showed it to her and she asked me if I wanted to try it on first or last. I tried it on first but it was way too small so it was kind of hard to tell if I LOVED it or not. But I knew I really liked it. So then I tried on some others that were nice, but they weren't THE dress. The 5th one I tried on I liked A LOT. But then my consultant came over with the first dress in my size, she had found it in the back with a new shipment that hadn't been put out in the store yet. I tried it on and knew right away it was the one. I looove it! :yesnod:

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for jewelry that I could wear with this dress? The consultant at DB said she thinks a simple pearl necklace and earrings would be great. I think that would look nice but I would like to hear some more opinions as well. ;)

Definitely pearls. As I said before, timeless.

Besides, lace and pearls go together like peanut butter and jelly! LOL

I agree with jeanne - The lace and cut are, as she said, timeless. A classic style that needs classic accessories - and pearls are perfect for that.

And the dress is beautiful!! I absolutely love that style

What a beautiful dress!! If they'd had that one at David's when I was looking I would have been all over it! It reminds me of my dress - that my mom ended up sewing for me! I wore pearls - drop earrings and a lanyard type necklace, but I kind of wish that I had just worn the earrings now, since the lace made such a pretty neckline.
