View Full Version : Brandi got me thinkin - Auburn or not?
So I'm thinking about going auburn for a bit.... I have learned I like trying new things with my hair. It's too short now - and I doubt I'll ever cut it this short again, but I wanna experiment with the color since I have 3" roots in the back of my head lol.
Here it is when I first got it cut, I believe it's grown about 2.5" since then so I got roots like crazy:

I love this length (of below)... and I'm thinkin I love the color. Whaddya think?
Lowlights? No lowlights? Highlights? No highlights? Color ideas? Shoot!

I love it :D
You could do highlights or lowlights if you want, but it will be be more expensive to maintain; that is why I just do the solid color myself.

Ooooh I love it!!! That looks so good with your skin tone! I like it in the second pic - with the lowlights, but either way is super cute!

I really like the bottom pic! Since your eyes and your brows are dark, I think the middle picture looks kind of.. I don't know, off? But the bottom picture I think it ties it all together more and looks really pretty! I like the contrast.

I like the bottom pic too..
BUT I've never put any type of color in my hair - ever.. ssssooooo I have no idea what "lowlights" means! Hahaha! ... I'm a hair color virgin :boggle: I think, sometimes, I'm a disappointment to the female gender.
Also, I think Andrea would have some great ideas!
Thanks ladies!!! I really like it too :hearts:
What if I were to do the top half Auburn and the bottom half black? It's something I can do at home - not sure I can manage the lowlights at home lol.

So you gonna do it?
I think I am! I am going to wait a little while - but I'm going to do it. I have 2.5" roots right now, so I need to do it soon. But I gotta buy the dye and have my friend over to help me. I think I'm going to do the half and half thing.... :)
Thanks ladies for all your input!!! :hearts:

I can't wait to see it; I think it will look great on you!
I do my color myself, even when I do the black underneath thing, but I am sure it would look better if I had someone do it for me.

I've never been real great with doing my own hair. I can do anything to anyone else's hair, but never my own. So I have a friend who already agreed to help me with it :)

Love the color! I think the half/half colors will look awesome on you! Did you have the purchase the software to "try out" different hairstyles?? What did you use?

Actually - every other one I've found requires purchase, but this one that Brandi showed me is free and it's WAY better than the ones I've paid for!!!

Thanks!! Me too... but I think I'm going to wait a little while to do it - and I'm going to buy the dye when I get a chance so I'll have it when I'm ready :)
