The 3 other top themes were beach, Hollywood, and Fall/Halloween. They all got the same number of votes. Any ideas on how to decide what order they should come in would be appreciated.

This is a trial run. If I see that it does not go well or people are not happy with this then we can always try something else. I just thought it would be a fun way to get everyone's input.

Choose either rich jewel tones to decorate the room, or a traditional fall color scheme such as reds, oranges, browns and yellows. Remember that weather in the fall can be tricky – in many areas of the United States, it will be hard to know long in advance whether your wedding day will be warm or chilly. Really you can serve any wedding cake at a fall wedding, but you can add to your autumn theme by serving a spiced cake or a spiced chocolate cake. A fall wedding guide wouldn’t be complete without talking about the Halloween wedding. Ask guests to come in costume, or have an usher greet them at the door with inexpensive yet stylish masks. The bride and groom can wear traditional wedding clothes or costumes. At a wedding I recently attended, the bride and groom changed into Bride of Frankenstein and a stable groom costumes, half way through the reception. You could also dress as the bride from the "Kill Bill" movies, or as the Princess Bride and Westley. Of course you’ll want to have plenty of pumpkins around – consider having a pumpkin carving station to keep any children (and childish adults!) busy for hours.

Color Scheme

For fall, it's a no-brainer. Use what Mother Nature offers so abundantly: Rich earth tones (browns, warm rusts, burnt oranges, deep reds, golden yellows, and greens). Cozy up table utensils and accessories by using copper and gold tones as opposed to classic silvers and pewters.

I don't have a pic, but I have an idea for centerpieces that wouldn't cost you much at all. You know those wicker cornacopias they sell in the fall time? They are very inexpensive. Buy those and add fall type fruit and veggies. Then sprinkle leaves around it. I use this a centerpiece on my home table in the fall time! It is so cute!

Maple Leaf Candy - These adorable maple leaves are melt in your mouth sugar candies that are made from real maple syrup. They are generally sold in large packages of 50 or more so you can buy in bulk and then separate them into your own favor containers. Just three maple leaves is enough for a small parcel in tissue paper or in a satin pouch as shown. Gourds & Pumpkins - Especially if your theme is fall, giving small gourds or tiny pumpkins as favors is a cheap and decorative way to say thanks. These tiny favors can usually be purchased for around 3 for $1 so your favors will be cheap! Tie a ribbon around them and add your wedding date and your name and perhaps a quote. Gourds could also be used as place setting holders or simply arranged in baskets as shown.

Leaf Anything - Favors shaped like leaves are in general perfect for fall. Leaf magnets, leaf key chains, leaf soaps, candles with leaves, tiny bottles shaped like leaves and more. Look around in stores and think outside the "wedding industry box" for cheap leaf items that could be favors.
Flower Bulbs - Flower bulbs are planted in the fall, making them a wonderful choice as a favor. Be sure to include a tag with planting instructions and a photo of the flower or plant it will become makes it more decorative.

This may sound lieka bit of a weird post but last night I was talking to my MOH regarding my menu at my wedding (which is in the fall) and we decided that squash soup would be perfect. I just wanted to share the idea of having squash soup at your dinner. It's perfect in the fall, and it has such a warm and full flavour to it. Plus it says fall like no other food.
Just an idea.

Thank you. Believe me it took a long time for me to actually settle on a theme I liked. I would have rather had a winter wedding with and ice theme...but I would have wanted snow on the ground....we were going to get married NYE 2006, and good thing we didn't because we wouldn't have had the snow that I wanted.
