We are doing a DIY "photobooth," and were planning just to tape a sheet to the wall as a backdrop. However, at the last minute we learned that our venue will not allow anything to be taped to the wall. I therefore ended up making a simple and inexpensive (under $25) photo backdrop stand this afternoon, and posted the instructions at this link (http://sites.google.com/site/2dbride/photography/diy-photobooth#TOC-Photo-Backdrop-Stand), for anyone who may be interested.

i really like that idea! since we're not doing a photographer, i thought about doing the same thing! you make it look so easy! even though, it's def alot of reading!

you're almost down to the week count, are you girl's getting a little excited?!

Oh, we're definitely excited! Still having a bit of frustration with our food person, who seems to think that it is unreasonable of us to want to know exactly what we are serving and what the cost is less than two weeks before the reception. However, other than that, everything is on track.

It's a great idea. DH made a photobooth for our wedding out of PVC pipe. He said it was easy to do. It worked great and people had tons of fun with it.

I used those Japanese style room dividers for our backdrop but you could get them and drap a black cloth over them.
