Any expert here,
We have the Little Chapel of the Flowers and the Glamsquad booked for my hair and makeup for May 19, 2010. We are now researching hotels for a hopeful 12 night stay, from May 15-May 27. We are willing to shave off the beginning day or ending day, but we want to have a long weddingmoon.
What we are looking for is something that has a suite room, a separate bedroom, living/kitchen area with a frig. Figure that would save on cold drinks and keep our wedding cake fresh as we eat it day to day. :p Our fantasy choice would be the Mandalay Bay, but their prices are way out there for our budget!! We are now checking out the Homewood Suites by Hilton (airport location), any ideas on them. They don't have a whole lot of reviews and seem to be a newer hotel. Basically, we are hopeful of something that cost $100 a night or less. Definately need the perks, breakfast, maybe some free dinners, and show tickets thrown in?
What is recommended to try to get hotels to give up some discounts to a honeymoon couple? We did mail a letter to Mandalay Bay about a month ago and haven't heard anything back. Just not sure how to go about requesting some discounts or added perks. Any suggestions?

Hey there,
Great to see that you are getting things together. Once again sorry to hear about your ordeal with the wedding.
Well I found a few hotels and Resorts within your price range. $100 is alot to work with in Vegas. You can get it as low as $29 depending on what you are looking for.
Now this is for a 4-star hotel. I book only 4-stars and up or lower by request. I found a 12 night stay for $1388.03 w/o insurance. With insurance it comes out to $1506.03. I found some lower prices. $900 in a 3 star hotel. I have posted pictures with this reply of the 4-star hotel. Let me know if you need anymore searching done for you.
Remember my services are free. Also considering all the stress you went through with this wedding as my gift to you I will do this booking for you minus the agent fee. So 100% free a gift from Lifestyle Romance Travel Agency.:p

Can't thank you enough for your offer!! I have been researching hotels for almost a month straight, doing "mock" booking to see what the cost would be. And, I am getting burned out fast. The Flamingo is an excellent place--I agree with that! What we are wondering is, do they offer some sort of wetbar/refrigerator in a room? Being there for 12 days, we figured we could put some fruit and drinks and keep our wedding cake leftovers in the fridge to save some bucks and keep it fresh. We really would like to stay at a hotel on the strip so that we can walk around instead of having to drive. If there is free parking along the strip, then we won't worry about that problem. Are you familiar with the Homewood Suites? They don't have the luxurious pools and ameneties that these other hotels offer, but the rooms are really nice. Wished there was a way to combine that room with the hotel/pools on the strip for the price!! We will keep track with you and book through you if that is ok. I will send a contact through your website as well.
We will have the best idea of our affordability in March or so. By that time, we may be able to expand our budget a little. And, if you have suggestions for food and entertainment--that also helps. We have a few ideas for entertainment already, just no tickets bought yet. :bbconfused: Didn't know if that is another one that can have specials or requested discounts. Thanks so much--the idea that we have other people who do care and are excited for us and wanting to help us is soooooo nice!! I am very hopeful that this next 9 mos will go much better than the last 2 years--I bet it does! Thanks again

You have a great support system in OneWed and I assure you many couples here are supporting you and want to see you pull it off.
What I will do is make contact with the various hotels to ensure they have the items you require such as the fridge and so on. I was trying to get a location at an all-inclusive to see if I could save you on food.
I will look into hotels on the strip. I can tell you those are very much in your price range ($100/night). What I look at are the ratings and if my couples will enjoy being at the hotel or resort I book them. Also what activities are close by and what discounts I can get you there. (That's where the calls start piling up...LOL).
The entertainment I should be able to include in the price. If you are referring to the Homewood Suites by Hilton I know them well. You can expect to pay for the Hilton brand. A few are affordable however.
Send me the questionnaire and I will forward you all the information and deals I find you. As time goes on I might also be able to find more and more deals. Don't wait too late however because as the prices drop the gamblers come out. When you send me the questionnaire be sure to put your user name from OW.

Thanks so much to you for your help!! I just wanted everyone here to know that you helped us get a really good discounted deal on the type of room we were hoping for! You met our entire wishlist all the way and FAST!
Again, I just wanted to express our gratitude to you for helping us and saving us money and making our weddingmoon plans so much easier. Now we are on to the rest of the fun part--figuring out how to entertain ourselves while we are there...yeah!!:coolblue:

There is a marriott toward the North end of the strip but not on the strip that has decent prices. They offer a little kitchen area and the rooms are a good size. Also someone mentioned rooms as low as $29 a night, be very careful with them. If you are paying $29 a night you are most likely going to get a dump and/or a room that is not in the main towers but is actually in a motel type area of the property.
