I don't know of any on here, but maybe. We've had a lot of new people lately.

We do not have a date set yet (hopefully before my dress goes yellowLOL), we wern't sure what a renual date is acceptable. We know we are going to do it, slowly buy what we want as sales are on for favors, center peices and little things, that way we can pull it off without it emptying the bank.

I guess you could choose whatever date you want, but most people go with their anniversaries. If you do your renewal on your 1st anniversary, your dress should be ok, plus it gives you time to start a "wedding fund" and you can have a real nice anniversary party!!!!

OH We are definitly going with an anniversary, just don't know which one. I think 1 is too soon but 5 sounds a lot better.

My FH and I are planning on doing one on our tenth anniversary. THat's so we can have a wedding for each of our separate cultures. Our first is a Hindu wedding for his culture. For our renewal, I want to do an American/Christian style wedding. But, that's years away!

Maria you have just inspired me to start a new thread in the themed area about cultural weddings!

It is not unheard of. I officiate at both.

My ex husbands oldeast sister did this. They got married in a small ceremony just for them and then a few months later had the big wedding for every one else. And their minister did both for them.

We are having a renewal wedding! We just wanted to get married (09/02/05) as soon as we could and renew our vows later on. We only had a month to spend together until his deployment to Iraq.:(
On February 17th, we are going to renew our vows.

This is the thread I was looking for.
I am curious how many 'renewal' brides there are here.
I'm one of them :)

You might want to start another thread .... these posters haven't been around since 2006 :)
I am not a renewal bride. It was a second marriage for both my husband and I.
