I want to make my bouquet (hand tied) with red roses and calla lillies. How many do you think I would need?
I am thinking 24 roses and 6 calla lillies.
For the bridesmaids, I am thinking one calla lilly surrounded with 6-8 roses...similar for the mom's bouquets...
My wedding is 12/27 and I would need to get them on the 24th....do you all think they would still be OK?

Good Luck!
It all depends on how important your flowers are to you. I personally thing the more the merrier. 24/6 sounds like a good combo for your bouquet, but the BM bouquets will be very small - maybe 4" in diameter if you make it tight. Or you can use greenery to fill - or baby's breath or something.
Good luck!

I am planning on ordering 200 roses and 35 calla lillies......what would you recommend for the (6) BMs ?....I'll make the mom's small...
Any experience with using flowers 3 days after you receive them online? Are they still OK?

I ordered my flowers online via Sams Club and got them 2 days before the wedding. With the proper care and handling, they can turn out great! (Mine were GORGEOUS once they were re-nourished from being shipped dry).
I think 200/35 should be fine - are you making bouquets or corsages for the moms?

the number of flowers in your bouquet sounds right for a small/medium sized bouquet...very nice. for the bridesmaids, you may want to increase to at least 10 roses, and 3 callas, so that they're not so small. and, 1 white calla may look 'lonely'....and so i suggest at least 3. or, if you want their bouquets different from yours, just skip the callas.
as for timing, 3 days prior to the wedding sounds perfect. you want time to process your roses and get them hydrated, and then you'll also want the time for them to develop and open a bit.
