we are going to do cardstock, and the green is a layer of cardstock behind the pinkish color. we dont have the exact colors we want quite yet been playing around with different ones.

the butterfly theme will carry throughout the escort card, map card, rsvp card, and thank you card.

the bottom of the stem will merge color wise with the other paper.

let me know what you think...

The theme and layout are very pretty!
Are you planning a casual, or more formal wedding? The wording comes off a bit casual, so if that is your intention, perfect! If you would like assistance with your wording to make it a bit more formal, I would be happy to make some suggestions.
One thing I noticed that you will probably want to adjust is that the phrase "invite you to share with them celebration of love". I believe you've left out "a" or "their" in there?
I understand it's a rough draft, but I've seen some of our customers look at a proof three times and miss something small like that because they are reading with their original intent in mind and not seeing what's really on the paper. I hope you don't mind me mentioning that.

Wow yea thanks for the good feedback. Yea I read that off a different example and just need to fix the wording. Our parents are paying but might still put their name on it so I don't know quite yet. It shouldn't be that formal but we like butterflies and are going to use them on all the papers and name the tables like table monarch and have the placecard have a pic of it. I'll keep u updated with the other versions.

OK, I'll go ahead and throw out some thoughts and you can do with it what you like:

Together with their parents
Sarah Ann ...
and
Gregory James...
invite you to share with them
a celebration of love
on Saturday, the twenty-third of June
Two thousand and twelve
at four o'clock in the afternoon
location...
address...
city/state

If the layout works with your wording and you have room to spare, you might want to put a sentimental short verse at the top. There are lots of ideas out there, and it adds a personal touch to a casual invite.
Let me know if I can be of any further help! I hear butterflies are the next big IT theme for weddings.

I have seen this one that I like ...

“Love is like a butterfly, it goes where it pleases and it pleases where it goes”
