I spent HOURS working on the music. I listen to selections, toyed with play order, nit picked over particular arraingments of the same piece. I personally picked out every piece of music for the ceremony (string quartet), cocktail hour (pianist), dinner (dj), and breaks when the band wasn't playing (dj). I'm not saying that I am a music snob at all. :bbmrgreen:

After that, I would have said the reception as a whole, Again, I planned every little aspect down to the napkin rings. I wanted it all the be perect.

I think the ceremony is my favorite part because to me its the most important. The reception will be a ton of fun but we're not walking into the reception unmarried and coming out married. Its the celebration of getting married. I feel that the act of getting married is more important. I know a lot of my time is going to go in to the reception, but more of my heart will go into the ceremony.

Eric and I both love to dance (and are pretty good if I must say so myself)...I have a pair of boots all ready to go to the reception so I can boot scoot the night away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved our ceremony because that was really what the day was about  But we had fun at our reception/party ... I've always had fun at the receptions of weddings I've been a part of. The ceremonies tend to be pretty much the same ;)

I voted reception for other people's weddings. I love the party, the dancing and the food.

For my own wedding, my favorite part is the processional, I put so much thought into the music and it was perfect.

I picked food and drinks, but as long as it is good food and drinks. I have been to weddings where the food tasted like rubber chicken. Another wedding I went to they ran out of food. Then at others they food has been excellent. I will have to say I've yet to have a bad margarita at a wedding! The last wedding I went to in June had awesome margaritas!

I voted for the reception because I got to enjoy myself with all my freinds and family and it was all about me lol. But no I loved how we partied and didnt have to worry about anything. We were all together , all the people that mean the world to me, dancing , laughing, having a blast. I loved it.

But it was a hard choice between that and the ceremony. I loved my ceremony. It could not have gone any better. So if I could vote twice I;d say this part too.

I would say the ceremony because to me it IS THE MOST IMPORTANT, without the ceremony there would be no reception because you would not have a bride and groom to celebrate with!! To me the ceremony is the part NOT to skip.

Really? No one but me voted for the toasts? They are my least favorite to photograph because it is so hard to capture in an image what words can deliver...but I just love them, and I almost always cry. I love seeing how the couple we've gotten to know and care about over the past year or so is so supported and loved by their friends and family. It makes me feel all mushy inside.

Also, I really love the last dance. Not because I am ready to go (although it is usually a sweet salvation because let me tell you: by the time you're cutting cake my feet are crying on the inside.) but because everyone is on such a high. People are usually really loosed up by either alcohol or dancing or both, and the DJ breaks out the really good stuff and everyone's all pumped up and happy, reflecting on the beautiful day they just experienced and trying to squeeze everything they can out of it before it's over. It's awesome!

And of course, the first look. We've had some really emotional grooms (and brides) and sometimes it is hard to keep it together and keep shooting. Also, the processional. The sense of relief and joy is so touching.

Ok, so I just like it all. Guess it's a good thing I attend weddings for a living. :bbeek:

I love the ceremony the most, shortly followed by the food. Romance and good eats - is there any greater combination out there?

I've sadly only been to two weddings and both were non-traditional. So, I have no idea what my favorite part of weddings is! Hopefully my favorite of my own wedding is the ceremony. I'm terrified for the reception and stressed about planning toasts and music and such.

There was alot that I liked. I like the reception. It was alot of fun. Seeing everyone was a highlight. I also met people on his side that I never met before.

Just the whole thing and being the center of attention. It was alot of fun!

The ceremony. There is nothing like the first time the bride & groom see each other before they become husband and wife.

Is it sad that I started tearing up while typing that? lmao
